Has anyone ever tried to remove the metal ring from the World Fair wheel? I have a repro wheel from Pinball Rescue. I would like to attach the ring from the original to the repro but I’m afraid I’ll mess up the repro. Any tips? Do I need to drill out the rivets? What kind of rivets and rivet tool would I need to attach it to the new wheel? I’m worried about cracking the repro.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what type of rivet I need? From the Hanson site it looks like it might be a tubular rivet. The originals are flush on the back side.

It came out great. I can't take credit for it. I had someone with the proper tools do it for me but I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Now I need do something with that smaller disc that holds it in place. It looks pitted.
