What can I do about this small round metal disc? It’s pitted and looks terrible. The part is irreplaceable. Thanks for any suggestions.

Quoted from TheLaw:

Stainless? Can you regrain it?

I’m not sure if it’s stainless. Is there a simple way to tell?

I just tried a magnet. It does stick to it so it’s not stainless.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll see what I can do with it. Time to go to Harbor Freight and buy a buffing wheel. If that doesn’t work I’ll see if there’s a chrome plater in my area.
