The top left arch light on my World Fair will not light. Tried different bulbs. I noticed this possible wiring hack job underneath. This cannot be right. Notice the white and blue wiring is soldered to the metal support of the lamp holder. This has to be a direct short with the ground braid. Does anyone know where the blue and white wire goes?

The lights next to it do work fine. On another note I have to get those double end screws/studs or whatever they're called. These posts are very difficult to get back together and try to get the rubber on and hold the posts at the same time. Plus now the holes are stripped out.

Ok, thank you. Mine is wired correctly. As mentioned it must be a bad socket.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that out. I finally did get it to light temporarily by pressing down on the bulb.

Does everybody use these 2 sided screws for EM machines? It looks like maybe an 1 1/2" or 1 5/8" should make it a lot easier to put back together instead of using the existing wood screws.
