Hey gang,

My WCS pinball starts up with the ball permanently spinning clockwise. The game has been working fine with no errors for years and this just appeared one day.

A buddy of mine who is a pinball repair expert suggested it was the transistor, but sadly he is out of state and has not been able to help in person. I replaced the transistor (Q34) and the diode below it (D12), but this did not fix it.

Any suggestions? Advice appreciated!

When you disconnect J126 from the powerdriverboard, does it still spin ?

If so, the issue is likely on the motor control board.
Check optocoupler (U1 - U2)

Thank you! Will do and report back.

zaza Thanks for the tip - I ended up replacing the whole motor drive board and it worked!
