shopping out a proto, thought I'd share
Quoted from sirlonzelot:
I am thinking of powdercoating the ramp and the cabinet hardware. Did anyone make that and which color did you choose ?
I'd like to see options also.
I just started a restoration and decided this is a great game to get creative with as far as colors, (as long as its tasteful. Hope I don't screw it up).
Quoted from weaverj:
do posts screw out or get hammered out? i don't see how to screw them, since it's a polished round post. any direction or you need specifics?
Post do not screw in. They usually need to be tapped out. Two things you need to be carefull of. First be carefull not to damage the treads on the underside of the post. You can take the existing nut and unscrew it until it is flush with the end of the post and gently tap the post to start its movement. Second, watch to make sure the top of your playfield does not tear/chip as you start to remove the post.
Slow and easy
Quoted from flashinstinct:
Can someone help me with this. I'm looking for an extra ball push button located under the plunger. "20-9663-D-1" Looks like unobtanium. I know they sell blanks but wondering what size it is 2" or 1.5in? Can someone measure?
Removing the diverted is necessary. You chance breaking the ramp if you don't . Its one small Allen wrench turned to remove.
Quoted from sohchx:
Anyone else here in need of this ramp?? Reproduction may be available very soon.
I could not wait and had one shipped from Australia. I believe the lower ramp is not available still. I would love to see these finally being done but since the sale of pinball inc., new production seems to have ceased.
Quoted from dleasman:
Not really a topic for discussion, but...
Pinball can be a great self esteem builder. Last night, my 10 year old son was feeling down, because his soccer team lost their final match. We were in the basement, playing WCS, and he was not doing well against his mom, making him feel even more down. He decided he would play one more game against me (dad). He beat me! His final score was 2.695 billion, and he beat Germany 5-4. Not only that, it was the first time he ever made it to the World Cup Finals. He was having a pretty good night after that. Gotta love WCS!
One of the best topics for pinball.
Ok I'll have to admit this is probably one of the harder restorations I've done. There's a Ton of shit on this game.
I'm putting together a game for the Ohio show. I have a set of plastics for it but I'm missing a right in-lane plastic.Does anyone have one for sale or an older one that's not this yellowed out. PM me if you can help.
