Here is a strange one. Just bought a WCS, and it is working perfectly apart from the trough 3 opto which is saying it is open even with no ball in the trough. What this means is the game kicks out two balls at the start of the final draw multiball. After checking the led transmitter for trough 3 under a camera, it looks like it isn’t emitting any color. I have ordered a replacement board, but my trough boards look strange and I don’t appear to have the 7 opto Board in the top left hand corner on the playfield. I will post some pictures - has my trough opto wiring been modified? How can it function without the original 7 opto Board? Don’t exactly know where the trough opto board wiring is going.

I have an issue with the corner kick back. When I use the first kick back, it works ok. However, after hitting and lighting the corner kick roll over outlane, the kick back doesn’t fire when the ball drains. Any ideas about why? It is weird. I have set the number of kickbacks to three in settings.

Is the kickback supposed to work once per ball?

Yes, the kickback switch registers in test. It just doesn’t fire the kicker after the corner kick light is actived in the right flipper outlane.

Thanks for the help. I just realized that you have to hit the red target to reactivate the corner kicker. Doh!

This is a question for anyone who has installed a new CPR mirrored backglass in a WCS - can you reuse the existing trim from the translite or did you buy a new trim set? I searched this thread but didn’t see what people used for the install.

When a city is lit and I hit the left orbit and spinner well, the ball tends to travel straight down the kickback left outlane, rather than hit the post near the left sling. Is this supposed to happen? Anyone else had this issue? What is the best way to adjust it? I have the play field at 6.5 degrees. The ball really flies around the orbit and just shoots down the outlane.

Just stuck a section of felt pad on the metal guide just after the gate near the bumpers, and this has slightly reduced the ball speed through the orbit. The ball now enters the playfield correctly by hitting the left slingshot.

I guess my flipper rebuild increased the ball speed through the orbit, requiring the adjustment, or am I missing something here?
