Just one more game......

And i dont even like soccer!

#5825 3 years ago

Ordered a new ramp, mine has a pretty sturdy done rapair on it.
Doesnt look that bad but i just kept thinking of reasons why i should buy a new ramp.
And now .... only because it helps the economy i had to buy one new!

#5828 3 years ago

Got my new ramps in today!
Mine hade a stirdy but big repair on it

Only thing im missing is the part that holds the ramps together above pass/cointoss

I believe it's "01-12491 plate-back ramp connect"

Thank man!

#5847 3 years ago

Like mentioned in this topic before by someone, i put my setting for multiball to
Last easy release to 1
That way you can lock 2 balls and so start mb by hitting the ramps

It only does so the first mb after that you have to shoot final draw

Has anyone have some custom coin slot decals?

#5881 3 years ago
Quoted from lecter:

Hi guys! What can be a reason of the alert like this, how to start repairing it?[quoted image]

the game does not have a upper flipper, i think that the game needs this switch to be activated thats how the board is build, so maybe the optos are dirty or failing
Or theres something wrong with the flipper board.
Try cleaning the optos first and check the interuptor.
Clean with qtip and cleaning alcohol (or homebrew moonshine or 90% vodka )
You can go into switch test and test if you use the flipperbutton two switches activate.

Got my pin2dmd led display in today
Bought it at https://techizy.fr/ real nice quality and service.

I have some color files but these are from someone whom didnt finish them i think.
Has anyone here got a finished file they could share?

Quoted from SkaterVet:

I don’t have the file, but is that the CPR back glass? Do you like it? Where did you find the soccer ball speaker covers? They look great. Thanks.

No i got some nice not to bright leds behind my backglass.

The soccer speakers i made myself.

The color files are here on pinside where somewhere, i think Malenko made them, he does great work omn pin2dmd!

For the speakers i made a template, cut it out and attached to the speaker, then colored and removed the template.

I’m torn. I like how the red goes with the refs outline but yellow also looks great and matches the rest of the rubbers. I think I’m gonna stay with yellow for now

I went with orange, its the color of the dutch team.

#6068 3 years ago
Quoted from allsportdvd:

How did you attach the Striker figures near the ramp entrances? Those figures originally had a base?

They are probably attached to the transparent washers.
In mine they have the ball at their feet and the ball is drilled with the bolt.

The figures are a pita to find them for a normal price

I have a striker and some wc94 Dutch team players as a topper
In the backglass i have an wc card with autograph from Ruud Gullit
A Fifa 94 knvb Dutchy the lion mascot and two strikers at the entry of the ramps

What match did you see?

Germany Korea

#6166 3 years ago
Quoted from kdoggity:

How did you install the characters by the ramps and TV? I love that, and would love to do something similar!

They are drilled trough the ball and then bolted on the stand up post.
You can also first attach to a transparent washer and place that on top of the post.

Quoted from Boosterfive:

So the goal assist kick out threw up the metal ring that goes in the hole. I put it back in, and it works, but occassionally spits it out again. As I'm sure this isn't correct, and becasue the kick out does seem slightly under powered I looked to the manual to see if I could find a schematic. Doesn't seem to be in there.
Can anyone say why the metal ring is loose, and is getting kicked out? Does anyone have a schematic for this kick out so I can order parts? It looks like there are supposed to be 3 ridges that the metal piece connects to or sits on, and 1 of those rigs is broke off on my game.
Thanks for any help!

Thats an aftermarket hole protector.
I had them too in all 3 holes, they would sometimes pop out.
Took them out and never looked back.
Then after a wile
Upper hole kicked the ball out weird some times
Found them again and put some double sided tape around
And placed the upper one back in
Straight for the goul every time

The bottom ones are not neccesary on my game

What metal ring?

Quoted from grantopia:

Quick question as I just brought one of these home a week or so ago. If I hit the lock shot on the right ramp, the ball is moving so fast that it hits the switch to activate the magnet to lock the ball, but is moving too quick for the magnet to grab it. I've spent some time trying to adjust the switch but can't seem to find a happy medium. If I bend the switch out too far, shots on the left ramp will sometimes hang up on the switch. Any tricks on this or is it just playing with the swiych to get it right?

If you roll the ball manualy from just above the switch and magnet, does it stick properly?
Is the switch activated properly
In the menu check the magnet time

Quoted from Bendit:

I know, right? Mine's an amazing goalie.

Some people even claim that he's unbeatable!

#6318 3 years ago
Quoted from grantopia:

Have some more info and hopefully trying to shake loose some ideas here.
I swapped the fliptronics board with one from one of my other games and the fuse doesn't blow so I think the problem is narrowed down to the fliptronics board.
I think based on the manual and WPC schematics that Q1 (TIP 36) and Q6 (TIP 102) are the main transistors associated with the magnet. I tested Q6 and it tested good. Q1 tested bad according to pinwiki (see picture) as one of the flanking legs had no reading. I thought I found the problem and ordered some more. They arrived yesterday and I tested them and they all read "bad" according to this testing procedure, with one flanking leg not giving a reading...am I testing this correctly? Is this procedure wrong?
I replaced both Q1 and Q6 and the fuse is still blowing after the first time the magnet engages.
Before I keep going back through the board is there anything obvious to check I'm overlooking? Can a magnet short to something under the playfield?
[quoted image]

Have you tested the fuseholder and fuses properly?
Mine had overpowered fuses in it from previous owner and some wonky fuseclips.
And be sure to check connectors and wires to the boards.

#6319 3 years ago

Nevermind missed your post

#6328 3 years ago
Quoted from nitrojcrawf:

Where’s your goalie, did he receive a red card? Did you happen to look at the feature adjustments in the manual?
Edit. It’s not very clear in the manual either.
A.2 29 is special challenge but don’t know what that is.
A.2 34 not in manual.

Isnt the special challenge when you get most goals in multiball to date, special gets lit?

Quoted from lecter:

Hi Guys!
Recently some problems related to resets of the game occurred so I read a lot of threads on the forum and I will try to solve the problem. The most difficult issue is that there can be plenty of reasons of it and indicating the source of the problem is very difficult. So I'm going to check each component and I hope I can count on you when I have any problem.
Take care Guys, thanks for everything and enjoy your machines!
I wish you only happiness in the New Year! [quoted image][quoted image]

Be sure to first check the simple stuff like the grounding of the boards, and the state of the conectors and cold solder joints before moving on to replacing stuff
Sometimes the resets are easely fixed with those things

#6382 3 years ago
Quoted from lecter:

When I was buying my WCS I was so excited that I didn't even noticed it. I prefer when things are fixed professionally instead of provisional
Would it be difficult to repair it in right way? I am not experienced in pinball but I would like to do it.

Yes fix it, if you have no repair and soldering skills (and materials), go see a pin repair guy.
Maybe search a local club or forum for people near you who can help.

My ramps are pretty beat up. How much of a pain am I signing up for if I replace the ramps? Is there any soldering involves or just a matter of taking off all the screws and throwing the new ones in?
Appreciate everyone's insight.

I believe Marco sells them with flaps and flashers rivetted
Also with the decal set.

You might need to solder the wires

Funny thing is, my problem seemed to START after adding a cliffy..
Thanks for the tips.

I dont mean cliffy, i mean the protector ring thats inside of the hole.
That made my ball eject with more oomph for some reason
