Thank you everyone for your help these past few weeks. I was able to source my missing free kick plastic from www.Pinball.Centre.

I was also able to take the rivets out of the Stryker plastic, which allowed me to replace the header kick plastic!

Now I just need a new left ramp plastic. I’ve made a makeshift purple plastic to hide the cracks for now. Still trying to find this plastic!

Last bit, I added an extra net decal to the goalie net which I think looks good. Did t like seeing the bare metal there.

Oh also does ANYONE know where I can find an extra ball button? The plastic on mine is cracked. They seem to be very hard to find now!

Has anybody installed the Mantis hole protectors on their machine and if so what are your thoughts on them?

Quoted from scootss:

What's wrong with this picture...?
I am still struggling with my goalie getting stuck under the crossbar of the goal. Usually it is the top of the metal bracket that the screws go into that gets caught. Occasionally it is the screws themselves.
Basically, the goalie moves fine left and right and if it gets hit by a ball while it is in the center, it gets wedged under the crossbar.
I've replaced the bracket that goes on the motor and the two long pieces that have cams on them. I've filed down the trough so it is nice and flat.
Does anything look amiss in these pictures? Would someone mind removing their goalie and sending a few pics?
thanks!

How many e-clips are on this mech? Is there one on the motor cam that slide up and down?

Quoted from Gorgar666:

How far back was this goal photo you’ve referenced? I don’t see it.

Got thinking of another reason why there could be interference with the top of the goal and the top of the goalie’s head, and that would be if the back of the goal assembly and bracket isn’t secured down all the way. If the back was sticking up a little too far it would point the front down a little too far and cause interference. Possibly. Just a thought.

Is there supposed to be a e clip here?

Hello, does anyone have a solution or a mod to make the motor of the ball less noisy, like a silent ball drive? thanks

#7662 1 year ago
Quoted from Gorgar666:

OP here...I tried a ton of things to get this to work...

- Replaced the three main parts of the mechanism
- Best as I could tell (looked at manual, pics, asked people)...there is not a second e-clip. I did add one...and it didn't fix my problem
- I'm quite sure the goal was fully screwed down because the issue started happening...I tweaked a bunch...then I did a full topside teardown...and upon reassembly, still had the issue.

The final fix...
- I bent the goalie bracket out toward the flippers just a touch AND I added a second rectangular metal bracket that attaches the goalie to the leaf switch. Haven't had the issue in the months since...

No..it's just a loud mech.

But..you can take apart the gear case, clean it out and re-lube with a bit of lithium grease. That may help a bit. Still loud tho!

Random question, what have y'all used to clean the gold pieces on this machine? I wasn't sure if Flitz and regular metal polish were the right way to go or not.

I use Blue Magic Metal Polish Cream. Glad I bought and tried this before exchanging/buying a skill shot ramp from pinball plating. The part on my machine looked dull and rusted and after using the polish it looked practically brand new and had a high shine to it.

Did that work well on the legs, too?

It should, it's the same finish.

If any of you wouldn't mind snapping a pic of your J120, 121, and 123/124 connectors on your driver board I would greatly appreciate it. The wiring on the game I am working on has been hacked, spliced, replaced and is a mess and I want to make sure everything is as it should be. Then again I guess I could check the schematics, but I am pretty terrible with those.

I checked my schematics and the colors and positions noted do not line up with what is in this machine.

The Manual will tell you perfectly. Im away from mines now or I would.

They are in fact GI. I do better with visuals, but will look up the manual in a bit. I am working with some "special" repairs here.

My game is coming along nicely. I heard that there are speaker insert stencils you can find online and print? Anyone know where they are? You just spray paint the grills white over them right (after removing the grills)?

Make sure when you’re cutting out the white you leave the borders pretty thick or else the paint will connect. I had to do it quite a few times before I got it just right. You might have to print out the image a few times before you get the sizing correct as well.

Anyone have a decent used translite for sale? Thanks

For that completionist. The backbox topper just recently came available on both Marcos and Plantery Pinball. You’ll still need to buy some mounting brackets.

Ordered! Where to get colored Slings protectors?

I was just playing my machine and then noticed this piece fall down the playfield and am having a hard time where it was previously located. Can anyone recognise this piece and advise on where to replace it?

Just by looking at the 2nd picture..... Im guessing that was maybe a soccer ball mod that someone installed at some point. And perhaps it took one too many airball hits and came apart.

Just a guess.

Yes there is, you’ll just have to disconnect the display, unscrew the surrounding borders, which will give you access to the speaker grills, and then pry the staples out with a small flat head screw driver. After you’re done painting and letting the grills dry, you’ll be able to reinsert the staples in the same holes they were originally in. I used the back end of a screw drive to carefully hammer the stables back in place. Unless you have a staple gun that uses staple’s similar in size, then it won’t matter where you position the new staples.

I just put in my order for the topper too! When they come in we'll have to collaborate on a good way to mount it. Those sling protectors look nice as well.

Interesting. Some machines have it and some don’t. I notice that The Pinball Arcade version of the table has this decal right above the goalie net.

I have a pretty nice copy of wcs94, and I’ve played probably 30+ others, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen (or at least noticed) that sticker, at least U.S. State side. Export specific thing maybe?

I’d imagine this was an “interesting” game, license-wise, when it came out, 28 years ago…of course when I played it as a young person, that never occurred to me.

(Also, I’m not currently home to run downstairs and check, haha)

#7700 1 year ago

My WCS has that sticker also... and oddly enough, my Theatre of Magic has a very similar sticker. Same designer and similar era.
