Tried to search and see if this question has been answered but couldn’t find it. My WCS just started giving my locked ball back to me instantly, so it doesn’t save it for multiball, it actually tells you to watch for it be dropped in, why would this change after so many games ? Thanks!

Sounds like the 2nd ball switch in the lock playfield is staying on. Like it always thinks there’s 2 balls there. Did you check it in the switch tests?

Does anyone make the clear protector for the commonly broken plastic by the saucer next to the goalie? I’m just getting back around to the absolutely sh!tbox WCS I bought back in September.
Really glad to have one of these, but this one is in such nasty, filthy, worn-out shape, it makes it very tempting to sell it and buy one that’s already shopped out/restored.
Lol.

The only reason I keep it is because we all know: heavy wear = big earner. It’s gonna go right back out to earn its keep, and would hate to put a restored machine through that abuse.

If anyone has other suggestions for protectors and proactive measures for the route, feel free to post them.

So I have one piece left over from my wcs restore I am not sure where it goes. Its a slotted roll pin. The plastic in the pic is for size reference. Any ideas would be helpful.

Quoted from DigitalJedi084:

Got some mirror blades in today, pretty happy with them! Added some thin felt on the playfield as well to prevent scratching
Pictures were tough since it’s darker there, but it pops in person![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Looks super clean, great color! Can't wait to see mine out of the garage!

Can anyone give details on the black o ring that goes between the motor and the gearbox?

Mine doesn't have it and grease gets on the gearbox. Thanks.

(not my pic - this one has the ring)

The only plastic protector set I have found for WCS94 is from PDI:

It has what you are looking for.

Here is a pic of the original motor I replaced, the teeth were almost all worn off. There is no black o ring, my new one doesn't have one either. I would just avoid greasing these much at all, very minor. Gonna have to "Macgyver" it I think if you gonna grease it up.

Looking for a World Cup Soccer a few hours of St. Louis MO.

$450 question, replace ramps or not? I'm cleaning up a WCS94 I recently bought. Gate 2 ramp is broken at the top. See pics. Flame polished the ramps and they look fairly nice. There are some stress cracks around the screw holes and one crack in the ramp elsewhere. I can repair those cracks weld on 3. Do you guys think this ramp will hold up with the break and cracks at the top? Or should I break down and replace the ramps?

Ramps cost 450 now? Woof.

#7362 2 years ago

That crack at the top is no big deal imo.

#7363 2 years ago

I am with Chuck on this one. Though I recently bought all new ramps and they are sexy nice!

#7364 2 years ago

It's not just a crack. The whole corner is missing, including one of the tabs that attaches it to the playfield. I'm just wondering if that lack of support what cause further cracking of the ramp.

Use it till it falls apart.
You’ve only got one course of action but two timeframes: Now, or later?

Hi Club. Does anyone have a spinning soccer ball for sale? I only see some available from Marco.

New owner here and working through a few minor issues…

Today the goalie stopped moving. Motor was moving but goalie was hung up on the edge of the goal. A little nudge got it moving again but I noticed that the black wire loom that connects to the goalie seems like it is in the way.

Where should that black wrapped wire be? Is it connected (ie cable tie) to something so that it doesn’t interfere with the mech under the playfield?

Thanks!

Just tie them out of the way.

Had a similar issue with my goalie, only moved halfway across the goal.

Had a similar issue with the goal kick out too. Wire wa in the way and didn’t allow the armature full movement, the ball dribbled out of the hole and SDTM

I am curious if you got to play the wcs with purple wireform and cointoss at tpf this past weekend? I got about 260 plays over the three days.

I did! Played very well. That goalie was brutal, couldn’t sneak many past him lol.
Nice work on the game. Looked nice.

Thanks. The manual actually shows one spot where it should be tied back. I'll add additional locations as needed.

My pin is in good shape but as I dig into it I'm realizing that it is missing a lot of screws in random places.

Is there a detailed tear-down/shop-out library of pics that shows what types of screws go where? I'd settle for head type and washer...I can figure out size and length.

thanks!

Might not have quite the detail you're looking for, but this is a great start:

Thanks, I had a lot of fun having it there! The soccer ball and goalie both have new motors so yeah the goalie is brutal lol. I also learned just how heavy WCS is getting it out of there on Sunday solo style!

Cary Hardy does a review video of wcs 94 and he pans slowly over the playfield a lot. I used that video to match up parts many times. Mine was using maybe 5% original nuts, bolts, screws, washers! I got it real close to original by the time my restore was complete that way.

Hey guys, I have a file that I will share freely to those of interest. My original speaker covers were decals and not easy to work with - plus they began to peel over time. I have since came to what I believe to be a better solution. It's basically an image you print and then apply behind the speaker panel cover. I used cardstock material to make the white portions more opaque so it wouldn't bleed through. All you need to do is cut out the black portions (using a razor blade/xacto knife). This is just the 2nd version. Hell, even mine is technically the trial quality. I was just testing it out. They can look even better if you cut them better than I did. lol

You can just make a stencil and spray it with for the speaker grill.

Yep I sprayed my speaker grill white with a stencil.

Because everyone knows how to make a stencil, right? It cracks me up every time I break things down to a simple form for people you get those that come back with "JUST do it this way - it worked for me". Maybe if you were contacted on multiple platforms with people asking how to perform certain tasks on these games as much as me you would understand why I do it this way. Because believe it or not - there are those that don't know how to make a stencil or even spray paint, but I guarantee you more people know how to print something that gives the same effect. No mess. No waiting for paint to dry, no worrying if the stencil is offset, no worries if the paint fades over time. If a future buyer doesn't like the look of the speakers you can easily remove the paper cover. It's basically fool proof (if there is a will there is a way though). A lot of people require simplicity due to lack of skill or knowledge on the topic at hand.

That's a good point. Apologies for not thinking of others with my lousy post about a stencil

I'm just giving alternatives.

Almost done with my project. Waiting for my chromed wireforms and some metals. Installing the plastics and the ramps and than after 3 month time to play.

All of a sudden, I'm getting balls stuck on the habitrail under the right ramp due to low clearance.

Seems like I could raise the ramp a bit with some washers, but that seems like the wrong approach.

Any suggestions on where to adjust to start?

Wireform attaches underneath the slingshot plastic. Not above.

There's also quite a bit of left/right play in the ramp and wireform once the nuts holding them in place are loosened. There's a chance that one has come loose and that's what's caused them to drift closer to each other.
