No yellow anywhere. I say red flippers and clear everywhere else.
Quoted from Mattyk:My rubbers are neon yellow titans. Was thinking about doing red flippers. What do you guys like better? Yellow, red or one of each?

black rubbers
Quoted from Nickson:black rubbers
I just acquired this game and I will say it is a chore to control the ball with these flippers. I have considered black
I'm not a fan of "one of each", it breaks the symmetry... I would say red... personally I had them black and I changed recently to purple...
Titan - Clear translucent rings, yellow posts, purple flipper rubber. Finished this week:

That’s a beautiful looking WCS, must play lightning fast!!! Is that painted gold or powdercoating?
Quoted from Flynnyfalcon:That’s a beautiful looking WCS, must play lightning fast!!! Is that painted gold or powdercoating?
Thanks, the armor is powdercoated. Been a nice project: cabinet corners fixed, new cabinet decals, new ramps, CPR Backglass, playfield brass replated, Cliffys installed. Game was decent when I bought it, had Color DMD, Comet LEDs, new CPR plastics, backlit speaker surround. Just needed some TLC to put if over the top!

Looks fantastic! The translite seems to have really rich color. Would you say it's different from the original or is that just the contrast on these photos? Also I've never seen a backlit speaker panel. Looks great here. Is that a kit from someone?

Here are is a before and after pic, comparing the original faded translite and the CPR backglass, taken 5 minutes apart. Same bulbs, same everything. Pictures say it all..

The backlit speaker panel is from Lighted Pinball Mods.

I’m torn. I like how the red goes with the refs outline but yellow also looks great and matches the rest of the rubbers. I think I’m gonna stay with yellow for now

I went with orange, its the color of the dutch team.

Very sexy game. Great job on it!!

How did you attach the Striker figures near the ramp entrances? Those figures originally had a base?

I’ll have to take a look. They were there when I bought the game

I think the yellow looks great! As long as you clean them. Every. Single. Day.
And one of each sounds horrible. I like my current black, but I think red would be OK too.
Quoted from allsportdvd:How did you attach the Striker figures near the ramp entrances? Those figures originally had a base?
They are probably attached to the transparent washers.
In mine they have the ball at their feet and the ball is drilled with the bolt.
The figures are a pita to find them for a normal price

Oh man! That color dmd is so cool! Where does one find that, and is it difficult to install?

Color DMD or light speaker panel??

I've got several WCS parts leftover from my refurbishing my pin. Ad is listed at: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/103954
Hello,
I just got back my WCS94 from a friend. He told me a found the flipper to be quite weak.
In fact, I had not played that much on this one, so I don't have so much experience on the power that is needed.
I manage to reach the final from time to time, but in fact, theyr are indeed not so much juicy.
Cradled ball will never complete a ramp shot. I always need some velocity to shoot to goal or to do ramps.
In test mode, everything seems normal as I can ear coils activations on hold and flipper are moving well on activation.
Mechanics seems also good, no friction or issue that I can detecte at this level.
EOS are ok, even if not necessary in this generation
I've cleaned the opto U-shaped
Any comments ? Am I looking for something unrealistic, like going a full ramp shot from a cradled ball on both directions?
Are both flippers week? I had one week flipper on my WCS, and on my Who Dunnit. It was a faulty flipper board. When I swapped them the issue went from one flipper to the other. So I rebuilt the board and worked great. You could also pull the boards out and check the solder and clean the opto‘s.
Quoted from BENETNATH:Am I looking for something unrealistic, like going a full ramp shot from a cradled ball on both directions?
You absolutely should be able to do this. You should be able to roll up all ramps, and make a goal from a cradled ball.
Long shot but I suppose it doesn't hurt asking again..
I need some less savory skillshot housings and wire forms to use as a core for brass plated ones. Mine were both flame polished recently so I'd prefer not sending those out.. And since my game is working, I don't really want to have it down while I await the new parts.
Anyone got those parts laying around? Obviously condition isn't important and honestly uglier is preferred.

OK, as i manage to beat Germany at 2.5B, I was thinking it was OK, but I definitively can't shoot as said.
What would be my first option, as both are weak?
All other mech are working fine. Is there a testing point to reach in order to verify my voltage? Or fliptronic boards are the way to go?
Quoted from OTRChief:The sound went out on my WCS today. Any thoughts on where I should start?
Maybe try reseating the ribbon cables?
Quoted from OTRChief:The sound went out on my WCS today. Any thoughts on where I should start?
Make sure there are no broken or loose wires that go to your speakers. That happened to me on getaway and I lost my mind looking at the sound board until I noticed a speaker had come unplugged, and as a WPC game is basically one big speaker that brought the whole works down.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Fresh mowed grass powder coat. Love it!
Yes,this one has some real nice touches done by previous owners. Cliffys and the scoops are lit below in purple. I'm ready to just spend my time enjoying them!
As you see though, I do have a credit dot. The ramp diverter is acting up, so I'll have to look into that eventually.
All - new owner, and new to Pins in general. Absolutely love the game, but wanting to take my soccer ball off for the first time. I removed the top screw, but it’s relatively hard to pull the ball up/off. Is that OK, and do I just need to apply more force to get it off?

It's a press fit. After the screw is off start by working it up around the bottom edge.

Thank you! I’ll give that a shot!
Sorry all, another random inquiry. All of a sudden this afternoon, when attempting to adjust volume, the buttons are unresponsive, and I’m unable to access the menus. Anyone know what might be going on?

Nothing happens at all? No noises? Nothing on the dmd?

It knows the door is open, just no response to button presses.
image (resized).jpgQuoted from chuckwurt:Okay make sure all the wires are attached at the switches.
They all appear to look good. I also looked at the connection to the motherboard, and that’s a solid connection as well.

All look pretty clean - and it’s odd, because earlier today I was cycling through the menus just fine.
Any chance there’s some odd button combo that would lock it out, and need to be re-set?
Quoted from chuckwurt:That ramp diverter is finicky for sure. Had to be setup just right to move smoothly.
Make sure you have the correct plunger & connecting Spring. The previous owner jury-rigged the broken spring and it worked but not well. When I replaced the assembly it worked great
Plunger & spring (resized).jpgQuoted from Mattyk:Maybe try reseating the ribbon cables?
Thanks. I bought a new set of ribbon cables and after installing the main ribbon cable, the sound is back.
