Just picked up a nice WC78 over the weekend. Didnt see a club on here for it so I figured what the hell ill start one.

I have plans on doing a cabinet restore and maybe a backglass restore as well. Playfield is in above average shape but ill be attacking it now and then as well.

I have a depopulated extra playfield and backglass. And a few used parts.

Would like to hear from others that might have or needs parts for theirs.

Quoted from PolePosition:

Looking for a couple rollover switches for my World Cup. Anybody have a source, or some laying around that you’d be willing to sell?
Thanks!

You referring to the red/orange circle ones?

Not sure if these would work or not, but would be very interested in finding out.

Quoted from PolePosition:

Yes, the orange colored ones (there's 8 total). I saw that on Marco, shows as sold out. I think if I could just find the colored plastic piece I could make something work. I can't find them, so hoping there a machine out there getting parted out. Found an entire populated playfield on eBay, but don't want to spend that much just to pull a couple switches off.

I have been looking for replacements also for a while. Marco has been sold out for a while.
Mine are good and work on my game, but Id like to have nice new fresh ones.

So I was able to find a nice replacement for my apron. The one that was in machine had the Williams logo area painted over with some serious black paint. It wasn't coming off.
The replacement looks great.

I had the old one laying around and decided to try something. Since I changed some of the colors in the playfield layout with Yellow titans and green targets and lane guides, I thought maybe a Yellow apron would enhance it more.

So I took the old apron and sanded it down, painted it the closest yellow I could find, and added some Planetary Pinball decals.

After several coats and some more sanding in between coats.... the apron came out looking really sharp!

As far as how it looks in the game.... Ill let you all be the judge.

Sometimes I like it.... sometimes I like the old green one.

If I decide to keep the yellow.... I will probably paint the metal pieces in the upper left and right of the playfield to match it as well.

Been a while since I had the game set up in the house. Might have to bring it in from the garage.
