The only major issue we had was the ball auto launching for the next player after the previous players ball drained. Odd thing was, it didn't start doing it until about our fourth game, then it would do it half dozen times or so, then stop. It was real hit or miss.
Thanks, Lloyd. I'll let John know.
This brings up a question. What happens if I'm a WOZ owner and I don't even know what a switch is. Who takes care of my issues?
Quoted from LTG:A switch stuck closed or slow on the return causes this. Start with the shooter lane switch and then switches on same row or column.

Seriously. What if I don't own a single tool.
Quoted from Pinchroma:Same question for someone who buys any NIB pinball machine without experience. Us support folk walk them through it
My point is, let's say I'm an executive, that has neither the time, tools or knowledge to fix some of these issues. What does JJP or Stern, for that matter, do when my game has issues out of the box? I'm certainly not going to fix my new refrigerator if something is wrong when it gets delivered.
Quoted from DCFAN:They either need to buy some tools or they will simply have a huge decoration in their house.
Pinball ownership is not for people that either cannot fix things (and will not learn) or don't have money to constantly pay somebody to fix them.
Ok. So I buy my game direct from Jack. No distributor involved. If I have no idea how to fix my issue under warranty, does Jack find someone local to me and pay them to come to my home and fix it?
Thank you, Alex. That answers my question perfectly.
Quoted from Pinchroma:Pinballsales.com is your distributer and yes assuming it can't be fixed over the phone.
Thanks so much for that detailed, insightful answer, Lloyd.

I just make them look pretty.
Quoted from Pinchroma:Bryan have you ever fixed a pin before?
I've never had anything with a NIB game I couldn't take care of myself, but I'm doing a number of restorations for a guy who flat out told me the only tool he owns is his phone. He uses that to call someone with the tools to fix whatever needs fixing.
Got me wondering what he'd do with a new pinball machine with issues.
Quoted from Pinchroma:Bryan have you ever fixed a pin before?
Yes, and I realize its not your fault people want to do that to their games.
Quoted from Pinchroma:Me too Just with funny colored powders.

Quoted from LTG:Got me wondering. What will you do, when he calls you about a game you restored ? How will you help him ?
LTG : )
I know what you're saying, Lloyd, but it makes no sense. Player one ball drains, game goes to player two, ball kicks out into shooter lane and within a couple seconds, it shoots the ball.
What switch is bad?
Quoted from LTG:No, a stuck switch or one slow on the return after being pressed down.
