I have one experience with a woody.
Someone bought an ES and it was too tall for his basement. I sold him my woodrail and than I went and bought that returned ES with the same money. Those were the days when pins were cheap and it was layed back fun.
That being said some woodrails are a hoot and you can't beat the look of all that oak.
