Quoted from unigroove:

Love this topic As a heads up: Pinball Magazine No. 5 will hopefully be available by the end of April 2018 and will feature Wayne Neyens' entire career in pinball. From the early days at Western, going to Gottlieb, WWII, becoming a designer, all the games he designed, his days as chief engineer up to his retirement in 1980. There will be many woodrail games featured and discussed, as well as many insights on how the Gottlieb plant was working. A must-read for anybody who likes woodrail games.

I am unreasonably excited about this coming issue!

I picked up a 1936 Bumper Machine today and the bulb that projects the score onto the screen in the head is broken. Where could I get replacements or is the a modification I can do to project the score?

I am thinking about buying a beautiful Genco Big Town, just a nice example of this machine. What would be a fair price to offer that is fair to both parties?

Quoted from Murphdom:

I don’t have Facebook. But with all these project machines popping up I glanced through my wife’s for the first time and checked the marketplace. I wasn't looking for anything in particular and I noticed it. If I can help you out at all let me know. It’s an hour and half away from me

He is firm on the price, even though it has been listed since April at that price.

This Mars flipperless machine came up on facebook. Regardless of the asking price it is one of the coolest woodrail machines I have ever seen. The playfield artwork and layered backglass are drool worthy!

Someone should grab this:
maine.craigslist.org link
1958 Williams Satellite
Portland, Maine
https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=Satellite&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick#2056
I could probably grab it for someone if they were interested

I almost bought a nice Havana off the seller but I couldn't get time off of work to drive up from RI to grab it so I had to let it go to the next in line. I asked for more photos of the Satellite to see how bad the wear he mentioned was.

Not bad for $60 a machine, but man what a strange way to try and move them. 125 Woodrail machines for 7,500 (plus $1,200 shipping if needed).

Having my first pinball shipped to me. I am excited as I think it will clean up nicely, playfield art looks great and the backglass is perfect. What else can you ask for?

Cool Matt! Glad you got that one, looked very nice when I saw it yesterday.
Dave

Thanks, I just happened to check facebook two minutes after it was posted, lol.

Quoted from jrpinball:

Nice score, Matt. IMHO, this is the most wedgehead-like Gottlieb woodrail. Where is it coming from?

No gobble holes! It is shipping from New Jersey. I almost made the drive but $100 to ship it would save me the gas, tolls and a rare day off. Based on the backglass and the apron it should clean up real nice. I will be bringing it to Pintastic this year along with Chinatown.

Quoted from RandyW:

Who is shipping a Pin for $100??? I hope it arrives ok!

It is shipping Fastenal, straight shot up the 95 corridor. We will see what happens.

Where in NJ? I just delivered a game down there on Monday. Didn't have to pay any tolls at all (I-287).

Rockaway, NJ - When I told my wife I bought a machine in NJ she wasn't happy my day off would be spent driving there, lol.

Picking up my first wood rail on Saturday. It’s a super nice shoot the moon! Should be a great addition to the collection
