Hello! Picked up my 1st woodrail tonight. 1948 United Paradise. Any idea where I can locate some schematics? Also my glass is in absolutely perfect shape...but my glass has different colors than every other Paradise I can find pics of and I don't think it is faded. Did they sometimes do different runs with different colors on old woodrail backglasses? Possibly a prototype?

Quoted from Dono:

From what I see, that's not fade...it's too uniform throughout all the letters, plus the other red inks on that glass aren't faded at all. l

This is what I was thinking. No other red fade...and the yellow is really uniform and solid.

Quoted from aahgo:

All of the oranges have faded to yellow, look in the girls' hair as well - no more highlights.

Yep...I'm seeing it now. The orange ink was trash I guess...lol. At least the glass is intact with no loss of paint.

Also, I am missing the left side rail and the lock down bar.... Anyone have a spare United parts machine from the same era? Anyone ever have the pieces made by a woodworker?

Just watched a video of 1947 Williams Cyclone. It has a really cool metal habitrail. Any other wood rails have them?

I know someone looking for a 1959 Williams Rocket. Anyone know of one within a few hours of St. Louis, MO?

I have a 1948 United Paradise. It is missing the left side rail. I have a 1948 Exhibit parts machine. The rails look identical besides the Exhibit being longer. I want to remove it from the Exhibit and attach to the United. How do I go about taking off the side rail? Best way to reattach? Thanks!

Did you use the dremel from both sides? Or just the side or top? Don't suppose you took any pics while you were doing it?

Quoted from mrm_4:

If there is a lip on the outside, after you cut youll be able to chisel away any strip of wood from the cabinet still attached to the rail that might need to be removed from the rail. It'll make more sense after you cut the rail off.

Thank you sir!

BG and Pf look very nice. I just restored one top to bottom and inside and out. Let me know if you run into any issues.

Thank you!

Ha was just playing my 3 Deuces and saw your post. Very nice. Looks great. I have a pdf of an apron card that you can print at Staples and mount to a thicker card stock.

Thank you. PM incoming.
