I recorded a video of the impulse flippers that you might be interested in seeing. Either flipper button on either side will activate both impulse flippers at the same time.

This is a direct photograph from my WMS Casino compare it to my reproduced artwork, I think you'll find they look pretty much the same. I even altered the lettering in Adobe Illustrator to better emulate the font used (which was hand drawn back then!) It's not absolutely perfect, but if you had this on a restored game I doubt there would be any complaints.

Hey Pat, if you do an image search of the font you can find some close matches. There are a whole bunch of websites that do it. This particular one has the fonts for free.

First thing I noticed is the wiring on the coin door is a bit odd. There should be more cut wires that would have went to the coin switches but I found only one cut wire. This slam switch was also purposely bent closed.
Does anyone have a photo of what this area should look like? I have a pair of coin chutes I picked up and I would like to get at least one 10c coin mech working. How difficult is finding those parts going to be?
I have Schematic and parts manual on order from PBR but if anyone can shed some light on the coin door wiring that would be great. Right now the lights only come on when that slam switch is making contact which doesn't seem right...
I removed the bottom board and starting cleaing contacts. cleaned everything on the bottom board and score motor. I found that the contacts on the "R" "Hole" relay were also purposely bent closed and the coil was burnt up. Checked it with a MM and its shorted, reads 0.4 ohm.
Can someone with a Wagon Train let me know what that coil is supposed to be?

On the coin door the Coin Chute switch (in red) should connect the orange and blue wires.

But unless you desoldered one of the solder lugs the .4 ohm is likely the resistance of the transformer and not the R coil. Either way the R relay coil in Dancing Dolls is an A-3498 which should have a resistance of about 30 ohms.
The important point though is that nearly everything you're asking about is between the plug and the transformer and is running at 120 volts so I would advise unplugging the game before poking around any of it.

Just finished reproducing plastics for Times Square and they’re ready to install.

It took a while to get the artwork recreated but they came out well. The two plastics with dancers took the longest and even though they look like mirror images of each other, they’re not and there are many slight differences between them.

Seeing the schematic makes it makes sense about the bounce switch being the opposite of a typical slam switch.
I did find a partial scan of the relay list in another Wagon Train thread and it shows the R relay as the "Hold" the label must be misprinted "Hole" and it confirms the 3498 coil.
Thanks for the reminder on the 120v, this isn't the first EM or woodrail I've worked on.
Acquired this quite a while back, but life and a move and stuff got in the way. Just setting it up for the first time. Pretty decent cosmetics, minor flaking on the backglass, bumper goes up and down, desperately needs all new rubber rings and a good cleaning. Score motor turns like molasses.

Working on a Straight Shooter... looks like there's been some scavenging in the backbox. I'm missing a number parts off of the 0-9 unit. Anybody know of a source of parts for these? I will need most of the mechanical hardware (a couple of the lever arms, a switch, the coil and coil bracket...)

It does look pretty and is cool looking. Are there schematics available for it? That would be my biggest concern with owning and keeping an Exhibit pinball running.

Thanks, I did find a stepper from a later Gottlieb from the 60’s in my spare parts bin that looks like I can use for some of the parts. PBR has the rest of what I think I need. I also ordered a schematic.
Question: is there supposed to be a bell on the 0-9 unit? There is one on the 10,000 unit and a separate stand alone bell assembly in the head.

This was a special find. Turns out it was in the hands of an old acquaintance, a long time pinball hobbyist from whom I bought my Sea Shore twenty years ago this month. It’s in great shape and works but I want to clean it up before it submerges and goes into action.

One of the more commonly occurring woodrails, but a good game. Similar in game play to "Queen of Diamonds"/"World Beauties".

I looked at a Sunshine a few years ago in Orlando. I really liked the artwork and the backglass is cool with the ratings. Unfortunately it was in bad condition and there was evidence of termites. I passed, but haven’t forgotten. Someday I’ll find a good one.

There seems to be a lot of them still around. I've seen many for sale in the last several years.

I acquired a 1953 Marble Queen in October, which is the first woodrail I've bought. Snagged the last repro glass from Shay (what luck!), and I have bought paint to restencil the cabinet, which I keep claiming I will do.
Woodrails have intrigued me as long as I've known about them (as well as older, pre war machines), but I was blown away when my folks took me to one of the Pacific Pinball Expositions as a wee lad. They had at least fifty woodies set up, which is the most I've seen assembled with me own eyes. So sad the city of Alameda hasn't let the Pacific Pinball Museum hold events in their warehouse space. Those Expositions really were worth travelling across the country for.

Very nice Marble Queen. My all time favorite woodrail that I own. That original cabinet is gorgeous as is. I have been to oldcarz place a few times and it is better in person. He's probably one of if not the most generous host I have met in this hobby. Welcome to the woodrail club.
