You

Linked Games

#1 4 years ago

I'm working on a World Beauties. The flippers are almost like new, but the links are made of steel. I'm quite sure this is original, as I have another one and it has the same flipper links.

Question: Do you, or should you replace the links with Bakelite links like later games? I can easily fabricate a link if it isn't a standard size? Maybe to cut down on the inertia of the system?

What do you guys do?

I replace the steel with the fiber links instead. Less weight to pull = stronger flippers.

Thanks, Ken. I think that will be my plan. I will hold on to the old ones "just in case".
