Well sir you are a breath of fresh air round these parts.

I believe in a world where there are no downvotes and we all get along.
Now I'm going to attempt to downvote myself.
Quoted from iceman44:Kidding right?
I have 4,368 downvotes
A good chunk of those came from my kool aid drinking early Woz days and the “never JJPers” and the LCD deniers
One post? 400-500. Lol
The days of the great Pinside WOZ Wars, good times lol.

Where can you see how many downvotes you have accumulated?
Quoted from Daditude:Where can you see how many downvotes you have accumulated?
In the Forum section in your profile.
Quoted from zaphX:The Wonka theme does nothing for me whatsoever.

A great pin on a meh theme is still a great pin.
A meh pin on a great theme is still a meh pin.
So, I’ll wait and see how the game looks and more importantly how it plays.
Whatever Eric M makes next is an instabuy for me sight unseen.
I think the difference for me is whether or not i would actually own it. I will play any good game on location (especially at the $10 "all you can play" places), but some of them i would never own.
Of course, my home gameroom has much more limited space, too.
I think it's funny when people mention the theme is what makes them like or not like a pin. These same people will say that Adams Family is one of the best pins ever (and I agree) but then you are saying that you were a huge Adams Family TV show fan as well? I call BS on that. You like the game because of how fun it plays and NOT the theme.

I got you Bro!
Damn, nice line up too!
Quoted from tacshose:Well there is already a great thread to share your Wonka thoughts already, so...
Great thread? Oh you mean the pirates wonka jjp crapshoot?
Calm down guy you're not a mod ok

The pin was based on the movies, which were pretty popular. When your production budget is $30MM and you gross $190MM+, that's pretty good.

Stop F ing up my ratio!
57 mods? The Jpop era really hurt me there. Along with a few drunken rants here or there
Quoted from pinnyheadhead:I have never owned a JJP but am also warming up on WOZ a lot lately and would like to own one in the future. WOZ just seems like a good place to start with, in the beginning at JJP's roots. WOZ is my fav of the JJP theme group so far also.
You won't be disappointed with WOZ - truly a masterpiece!

Where the heck are you finding this?! I cant seem to locate it.

Ya, I took a beating in the alien thread when everyone was licking Andy’s balls...
Quoted from Daditude:Where the heck are you finding this?! I cant seem to locate it.
I joined the pinside insiders club...only I can see...
Quoted from Daditude:This thread makes me wonder what is the most downvotes anyone has received on a single post?
What is the most you "long time pinsiders" have seen?
Not a "long time pinsider," but -381 is the most I've seen: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/alien-pinball-official-game-thread/page/426#post-4364220
I’m sorry but I can’t get into Wonka at all
I thought the movie was strange as a kid
Put a big rainbow topper on it !
I’m out Jack
This thread really made me laugh.
Also people who say JJP games are not worth the 8-9.5k make me smile.
I look at a lot of Stern LE games and just don’t understand the play value one gets compared to a JJP in the same price range.
I have high hopes for Wanka, but I appreciate all JJP has done (but want to play hobbit new code)
Quoted from Nostaw:I look at a lot of Stern LE games and just don’t understand the play value one gets compared to a JJP in the same price range.
Then you need to play a lot more of the Stern LE games so you can get a better understanding of why they sell so well.
Normally I wouldnt support such a well constructed, though provoking thread like this, but since the original Wonka thread has derailed into nothing but pirate talk maybe this is the fresh start we need.
Quoted from Nostaw:I have high hopes for Wanka
“Wanka” sounds like a different type of game altogether!

true,it's like comparing a corvette to a 911...
hey guys JJP should do a marketing stunt with Hersheys producing a limited run of the iconic bar with 5 golden tickets
the winners get a Wonka pin and factory tour
would be great exposure going viral pulling in more mainstream customers

They should really look into this if they haven't already. Giving away 5 Wonka pins wouldn't be cheap but maybe they could get Hershey's to pay for it or at least split the cost? The amount of publicity for something like this would be huge as I'm sure news outlets and websites would be talking about it.
Jack can meet the winners at the JJP factory dressed as Willy Wonka and greet the winners with "Welcome to my pinball factory"

While no doubt that would be cool it might be a bit cost prohibitive. 5 golden ticket winners (buyers) awarded a trip for (2) out to the factory for a full tour and team meet would be Really dam cool and a huge marketing play. I would love to win a trip like that personally.
