Played Wonka at Blizzard Mountain Pinball here in CO tonight. After the game, my daughter noticed a flipper code was displayed while the credits were rolling in attract mode.

Entering the code brought up a screen with 6 tiles. You used the left flipper to choose a piece of candy and the right flipper moved to the next tile.

Anyone know what the codes are for?

Randy

#2 4 years ago

Whaaaaa? I gotta try this.

#3 4 years ago

What was the flipper code? I watched the credits roll on my SE and saw nothing about a flipper code.

#4 4 years ago

So did this end up being a troll, or what?

#5 4 years ago

Kevkat owns that machine and business, maybe he knows?

#6 4 years ago

Randy, was this in the form of a QR code?
I saw that a couple of times, but never had my phone on me in time to scan the barcode.

The QR codes are just the last game score which points you to Twitter.

Bumping this up. Anyone know the flipper code to get this working?

Still no idea about the flipper combo, but I reckon I just saw a "Candy Code"; I had Candyman and Dots Dots Dots running and I drained, and while bonus was counting the Wonkavision had 6 tiles displayed with 6 distinct candies on it; though i'm too slow for a photo I'm afraid

Oh man, that’s the good stuff! Someone needs to watch the attract mode for like an hour straight to get that flipper code from the credits sequence

#11 4 years ago

I should probably stop hunting for this and play the game some more

By chance I found today that Joe gives away a flipper combo at the very start of a stream:

A bit of analysis later and I worked it out, but it's still not the one we want...

L+R 10L 1R 19L 1R 11L 2R

10, 19, 11 = JSK

Still works in 1.31 attract mode - Thanks Joe!

I've tried a few obvious words using the same pattern - JJP, WONKA, CANDY - but I am not always successful at getting these to work even when I know the correct combo, so who knows.

#12 4 years ago

Idea: Point a camera at the attract mode screen and just let it run for an hour+. Then jump back through the footage every time it cycles through to the credits sequence and find the one where it shows the Candy Kode. If I had the game in my house I'd totally do that

#13 4 years ago

Cracked it! After a game where I was awarded a special (I also saw a candy code during this game, following a slugworth drain; I remember the pattern, but not the specific candy pieces), I waited for the credits and lo and behold right at the end, and JUST able to unlock my phone in time.

So this works:

L+R 13L 1R 11L 2R

I will keep playing for candy codes and try and catch a photo, though I am sure some must have been captured on streams...

Cool but I wonder what they can do..? Can they add stuff during gameplay or just attract mode stuff? I remember Keith saying something somewhere about some secret stuff in the game... wondering if a correct code can enable the secret things? Surprised more hasn't been mentioned about this.. I really enjoy Easter eggs and special hidden things.

#17 4 years ago

This is very cool

#18 4 years ago

The candy types are:

Jelly candy
Gummy bears
Hard candy
Peanut butter cups
Lollipop
Candy canes
Nonpareils
gumballs
And the JJP logo

Found a code! Reeses/Jack/Reeses/Jack/Reeses/Jack makes the announcer say “code accepted” and the screen says “Respect 90”

I don’t know what that did for me.

#20 4 years ago

Interesting

#21 4 years ago

Just tried it this evening and it works, the candy code I put in was just whatever and when I entered it nothing really happened. Guess the mystery continues

13 and 11 are the letters MK. Looks like an homage to the Kombat Codes from Mortal Kombat 3!

Since spotting my first kode a few days ago, I am now seeing them all the time, I would guess at a rate of about 1 in 10 games. Keep your eyes on the Wonkavision as the bonus counts, and unless you're rocking a big bonus, don't even try and take a photo, you won't have time and you'll forget the kode! Familiarise yourself with the icons before you play, some of them are very similar and in the heat of the moment they are easily forgotten; I have seen 5 now, never quick enough for a photo, and I can only remember one, the easiest code ever.

01.jpg01.jpg

They are not all this easy, some of them have different candies in all six slots.

If I find anymore I will post them here, but I think we should refrain from saying what they do so as not to spoil the surprise for others

#26 4 years ago

Great more stuff to try to remember to do on wonka... like it wasn't difficult enough lol.

I hope some can do things to effect gameplay?

I know of at least one that affects gameplay I will be revealing this evening on Buffalo Pinball. Going to go through the ones I know of. 8 pm Eastern at https://twitch.tv/buffalopinball if anyone is interested.

#30 4 years ago

Ok so I put in the respect 90 and played a game .... and something happened that was different during a mode. Its never happened before so it had to be bc of the code. I'll let others try it to see if they notice anything and I'm gonna try it again to make sure it wasn't a one off thing.

Awesome thanks.. I commented on this on Facebook little bit ago.

So you see candy icons that are a code for something. What do you do with what you see to activate the secrets?

Well I can't repeat it so it must been something else. My oompa loopa mode was like unlimited mb for like 90 seconds so I thought it may have been bc of a code I put in? Guess not?

#34 4 years ago

Ok, maybe it's the bourbon tonight (never blame the liquor, I know), or maybe I'm just a bit slow. Where and when do I do the flipper codes? What exactly do I need to do?

#35 4 years ago

On the attract screen, press the following flipper sequence. You have to be reasonably quick:

L+R (together) 13L 1R 11L 2R

ie. 13L = press left flipper 13 times.

#36 4 years ago

I missed the beginning of the stream... any info on the codes?

I've assembled the known Kodes into a GameFAQ's style doc here (in homage to MK3): https://pastebin.com/pmgkC5gt

If you find any new Kodes, send them in to the email in there and I'll add them to the doc and kredit you!

Unlimited 90 sec 2 ball multiball is normal for Oompa Loompa multiball.
The challenge is to get all green shots before you drain a ball,I go for the hard ones
while it's under unlimited time frame. You will hear a chime if you hit all lit green targets.
