I've seen a few predictions for the Wonka pin in various threads. For 4 more days, I thought it might be fun to speculate away from the hype-filled discussions about pricing or marketing or whether banned individuals really, really, really love the new game.

I'll start with an easy one. During a wizard mode, like "Destroy the Ring" in LOTR or Vader vs. Kenobi light saber duel in Stern Star Wars, while waiting for the final shot or shots..."The Suspense is Terrible. I hope it'll last."

BTW, My vote is for WWCF for abbreviation. WONKA isn't bad either.

You get nothing! You Lose!! Good Day Sir!!!

do you know what happened to the boy who got everything he ever wanted? He lived happily ever after, the video clip at the end of the game maybe

The Oompa Loompa whistle HAS to be in there.

Please every time you start a mode give me the Whistle!

One of the mini wizard modes better be the boat ride.
The start of the multiball Wonka/Wilder is just screaming that freaky song. That would be amazing.

“Yes, the danger must be growing
For the rowers keep on rowing
AND THEY’RE CERTAINLY NOT SHOWING
ANY SIGNS THAT THEY ARE SLOWING.”

I am so ready for this damn machine. So many perfect scenes and subtle Wilder moments to use for modes and scoops and such.

The match should be the scene where Wonka slowly limps outside, then suddenly falls forward and does his roll and jumps up. Giving you your MATCH number.

Definitely hoping for some kind of tunnel frenzy mode where the lights flash down the table, faster and faster, while weird things pop up on the screen.

The topper on the CE is going to be a "Glass" horizontal elevator, each floor will light up a different color for the number of balls you have locked, Wilder and the Boy will also be on string and move to the appropriate floor.

Anybody think they will use the Primus music when the covered WW? Very odd album but hey why not.

The thing I'm looking forward to most are items related to rewards for attempting as well as completing modes and how they relate to qualifying wizard modes. Theres so many cool possibilities.

1. Collecting golden tickets
2. Collecting everlasting gobstoppers
3. Collecting Wonka letters
4. Collecting Wonka bars

Also hoping for a set of 4 Oompa Lompa modes that represent the 4 Oompa Lompa scenes from the movie. Chocolate river multiball or wizard mode is another with crazy cool lighting and sound effects.

Chocolate river that is magnetized and catches your balls, you have to shoot them out to dislodge for multiball.

When you achieve a high score it actually dispenses a Everlasting GobStopper.

This is a good one however obvious. But would it be for a simple drain or perhaps an all out tilt?

#13 1 year ago

Another drain callout could be whatever he says to each kid when they leave.... can’t remember them all.
“ Adieu, adieu, parting is such sweet sorrow!”

Would be an awesome clip for a tilt and if theres a setting that makes a tilt end your game!

Getting a high score or GC....Augustus sweetheart...save some for later!

-A boat or factory toy that acts as a physical ball lock? If factory, maybe that’s also an upper playfield?
-A screen in the playfield that isn’t a traditional rectangle/more integrated shape with what’s around it?
-Shaking Oompa Loompa targets ala AFM, with “Free the Oompas!” Multiball. Hah

Tilting out gives the clip: "You win nothing, you get nothing! GOOD DAY, SIR!"

*edit* This was probably posted above, but whoever did it is not visible to me...

EXACTLY!
That's what I meant.

The mere discussion of this has me even more excited now. I'm totally fine if it's entirely Gene Wilder driven, but I wonder if any of the children actors will be featured too. I would think Charlie is a necessity, and Veruca Salt would be awesome to have too since she was so annoying.

#20 1 year ago

I would hope all of those annoying brats would have at least some kind of representation.

#21 1 year ago

Maybe some music from Veruca Salt?

Well played, Koz...

I heard that the entire machine is made of candy and is edible.

#24 1 year ago

I hope the CE has a gobstopper plunger

#25 1 year ago

Will "Imagination" play at the push of the start button?

#26 1 year ago

I heard an Oompa Loompa is hiding inside and pokes his head out when you earn a free game.

#27 1 year ago

I predict WONKA will have one upper playfield and a subway. Only2 hours and 15 minutes to the big reveal!

Poor score?

Didn't match?

Poor score?

Tilt would be my guess.

Maybe we know now? I watched some (but not all) of the reveal, and did not watch the JJP Twitch from 4/19.
