If they could do a Wonder Woman pinball machine it might be my first NIB.
It is crushing it at the box office right now and doing incredibly well worldwide.

I have no idea if it would get snapped up as a theme before monster hits like GotG and Jurassic World, but seems like an excellent choice eventually. It would also bring more DC Universe assets in to the pinball world.

Haven't seen the movie yet but it looks spectacular. I hope the invisible jet makes an appearance.

When I was a kid, Wonder Woman was my favorite super hero. She could block bullets! Totally awesome. I've always been sad she's had little live-action attention paid since Lynda Carter had the role.

Practically speaking, I think it may be more likely to see a Justice League pin, to take advantage of a range of DC characters (and tie with multiple movies). Superman has only had one pin made... outside of Batman there's very little to show of DC in the pinball world.

But yes, I would be interested.

Back in the Atari Pinball era, they actually did a prototype backglass for a Wonder Woman pin. From the Art Of Atari book...

Yeah, Hulk I watched as well, but I favored WW. My mom must have remembered because she got me the entire box set collection of the TV show a few years ago as a Christmas gift.

Earliest memory I have of the show specifically is one of the Drusilla episodes.

100% agree. That show was just as good as Hulk for a while, although Hulk stayed consistently good, and WW got kind of weird with Drusilla et al eventually

Between Lynda Carter and Farrah Fawcett, many civilizations have been lost.

    #19 6 years ago

slingshots would have to be the bullet-deflecting her bracelets, no? Would make for a good sound cue.

    Or the pops.

Spinner should be the lasso whirling in the air.

Captive ball with lightning crackle is optional, but recommended.

In honor of the invisible jet, Invisible Jet Multiball. It's single-ball play, but there's an invisible ball (handled on the LCD screen, maybe treat it like Breakout, where you use the flippers to control the paddle but also are keeping your live ball in play). Lose the physical ball and the mode ends, auto-plunge a ball back into play. Drain in the mode, it just is gone. Probably overly gimmicky, but so was an invisible jet. /shrug

Let's face it, there aren't a lot of machines themed after a powerful female lead. Quite the opposite. Who knows how many young ladies would be inspired by this? Quite a few I'm guessing. Bring it on!

While it may be considered practical, I'd prefer to see a standalone Wonder Woman pin. Obviously, to have both a Wonder Woman and A Justice League pin would be ideal....but I'm glad they didn't skip out on the dedicated WW movie and go straight to a Justice League, which would somewhat "dilute" Wonder Woman.

Lasso of truth as a rotating disc on the playfield with two magnets that capture the balls, then you have to shoot through the two rotating balls into a lock to start multiball.

All in on a WW pin!

My Wife and I are doing a Wonder Woman Re theme of a Bally Supersonic. Its coming along nicely but still about 6 months away from completion. She's a huge WW fan and an artist, she came up with the idea and I am always looking for ways to get the wife into pinball.

Total Nuclear Annihilation will have a powerfull female lead .I heard Stern was working on a hunger games a few years ago , but I guess that project ended up nowhere. Wonder Woman could be a good theme , I haven't seen the movie but I heard it is pretty good . But would the majority of people be more interested in a game based on her new movie? The old TV show ? Or comics ? I would assume each one would have a seperate liscense . I think Wonder Woman would be a good fit for stern to produce .

Since WW is already used for Whirlwind, would W♀ be the new acronym for Wonder Woman?

    #30 6 years ago

Even though we'll probably get Justice League first, with the success of the WW movie she should play a huge role in that game, which is great. WW was way more interesting than anything that's been done with Batman or Superman movies over the last decade.

Also, her theme song is awesome...I can definitely imagine it playing when you plunge the ball.

    Bring on Wonder Woman!

I'm not quite sure if Lynda Carter was my first TV star crush when I was younger, or if it was Erin Gray from Buck Rogers. Both were/are absolutely beautiful and both were on Battle of the Network Stars(holy cow that show was amazing). I think I was more partial to Erin Gray, looking back on it. I watched the crap out of Wonder Woman, The Hulk, Greatest American Hero, Battlestar Galactica, the whole lot. The late '70s to late 80's era of TV is cemented in my memory fairly well.

I'm itching to see the new Wonder Woman, just need to get the free time to do it. A Wonder Woman pin would be great, but they're going to do at least one more solo movie for her, if not two. Might be better to wait for those to be done then do a pin, or better yet, do a Justice League pin. A JL pin could be JJP's answer to Avengers.

Does anybody actually have the DC-Pinball rights? (I know Stern has the Batman '66 rights, but I'm sure those are completely separate from the current DC movie rights.)

As for the proper abbreviation, I submit: WoWo.

    #33 6 years ago

Pretty sure Erin Gray was in Buck Rogers.

Probably a decent theme for a pinball. Stern might wait for a sequel or (Iron Man/X-Men) or could wait for Justice League.

Naw...I don't want her to be propped up by the Justice League. She don't need no stinkin machismo bravado. Let that hero shine all on her own! Now I REALLY wanna see this movie. Drive in this weekend for sure.

I want a Wonder Woman pin based on the show. I need to hear that theme song constantly.

The movie hasn't interested me yet but maybe I need to go watch it. I know I really hated that guitar theme of hers in BvS. It was so out of place with the rest of the music.

The music on the new movie was pretty good, but I'll agree - should have had the theme in there, ideally as the credits closing music. Now THAT would have been awesome.

I would prefer to make lots of room for drawn art, instead of cut and paste photos. The only problem is figuring out which looks and costumes to go with.

I down voted because I don't need WW ass pics. WW is very well done and entertaining and a great example of a strong female lead. I like attractive women -- married one! But, in the context of being respectful to the movie and character which were very well done and tasteful, I'm voting for keeping the nearly naked WW pics out of the thread. It kind of goes against all of the positive aspects of this movie. While WW (Gadot) is very attractive and there is no shame in enjoying that, I also think the WW story line is great for inspiring young women in a positive way. Let's not turn it into a tits and ass thread. Plenty of porn sites for that if you want that. Just an opinion; I realize others will disagree.
