I'm interested. I just mounted a dalek model on the play field and wired it to the dalek topper. I placed 3mm LEDs where the talking lights are and now it lights up as the dalek topper speaks. It's very cool and quite distracting while doing the video mode.

It's about 3.5 inches. It's made by Running Press. They have a website and sell these, and other models at Barnes & Noble. I paid about $11 for it. It's head swivels and the lights in the head are translucent plastic held in by a small screw plate, which is easily removed. I drilled the screw plate with holes for the ends of the 3mm LEDs.

After mounting, I wired them up with a 470k resistor (you can use higher resistance for a less bright light). Then I wired that to J127, pin 7, which parallels J128, pin 2. This drives the flasher in the dalek topper, so both light in unison. I also had to lightly file the width of the switch mount on the Cliff hanger so as to friction-mount the dalek over it. It stays on well and can be removed easily.

There are more steps to this mod, however, they'll become obvious to you when you examine the dalek model. If you have a Dremel tool you'll be able to fashion mods easily where cutting and grinding are required.
