I'm using a slightly more forgiving material so they should take a hit better (just tossed my prototype down a flight of stairs to my concrete basement floor, not a scratch, see the video below). And i'm working on making a version with realistic gold metal finish built into the plastic, rather then a layer of chromed finish (which you could also do, if you were so inclined i guess). Here are some pictures of one of the prototypes with an original for comparison. No word on price just yet, but very soon.
