I had a similar problem with the sound on my Gorgar recently, occasionally wouldn't get any sound, and when I did it was more electronic and scratchy. Replaced all the caps on the sound board and that didn't help. Then I replaced the two sockets on the soundboard and now it works like a champ. Definitely recommend replacing them.
