Hi all. My Comet has all 4 score displays out (I bought it like this), with the match/credit display working 100% fine all of the time. Could it be the displays that have gone bad (unlikely) or something else? Any ideas? I would figure if the 100V was off/low or dead, the match/credit display wouldn't work. Game works great and all of the boards look fine. Tried unplugging one at a time to what seemed like no avail, I think I tried most of the combinations possible but maybe not? I think I tried unplugging them all then plugging one in, then unplugging that one and plugging another one in, and neither worked, so I stopped and gave up. I think I unplugged the match display too but unsure.
Thoughts? I'm SICK of working on dead Williams MPUs so I don't really want to take out the working great one, I hope it's not an issue from there. Thanks all. I don't know if these displays have that slight "powered on" glow like some others do on older machines but if they usually do, these don't. If the other display didn't work it would probably be a common issue that wouldn't be too hard to solve but that has me baffled.
