Hi everybody! Just a simple & silly questions:
On my Williams Space Station I have a defect numeric display. But I also have a couple of Williams 7-digits displays on my bench (from a System 7 pinball).
Can these be replaced? The significant difference I can see, is that the Space Station numeric display has all the pins to be soldered... and the system 7 not!

Yes, they're actually the same display glass, the missing pins are actually duplicates.

    Thanks Slochar for the reply.
So it's 100% compatibile. Even if (as pictures) some missing pins has traces on the PCB..

I'm looking at a similar situation. I noticed that the displays on a D-11610 board (such as Space Station) sit higher off the board as compared to individual boards (such as system 7 boards). If a display is salvaged off a system 7 board, will the display leads be long enough to reach the D-11610 board?

    That pic is more clear...

The pins are shorter so I think it is necessary to elongate them with wire Pieces (not the best solution, but...)

I'd like to see how it turns out. Post some pics when you're done, please.

I would like to have green light from someone who had my similar problem..
Ok, the display it's the same.. but imho it seems there are too many missing pins..

    It works! Great!!!
Now I have to redo the work to elongate the pins..
    Stay tuned!
    Thanks Slochar for the info

If you get the data sheet for the glass itself you'll see the missing pins were duplicated. I forgot where I got the data sheet from long ago I'll have to even dig around to see it, but I had the same situation I was transplanting glass from WMS to bally displays.

Am I Happy? I think not. Once installed on the panel, the uppermost on the right died.
No Orange dot, so I have to understand of Is a voltage issue or the glass..
But it's Crazy!!! Damn.. was working few hours ago..
