I met Ron Woodard during Expo at his booth for Pinball Plating and More. After talking to him about what I had in mind. I handed over to him my beaten lockdown bar from my '64 Williams River Boat that I am restoring. I asked him to polish the lockdown bar and chrome the ends. As you can see, the final results are just astounding. Way beyond what I was expecting. Ron did an incredible job. I would definitely recommend Ron and his services to anyone interested in doing this to their Williams or Gottlieb '60's lockdown bars. Ron's pricing and communication were also great.

Looks great! I sanded my Heat Wave bar and rails to 3000 grit and left them at a mirror finish. Mike Chestnut did my caps a few months before his accident. Definitely worth doing.

About $75. He did some other things along with it.

Thanks Mike. Let me know if I can help with plating or powder coating projects.

Is he ok? He did a great job with my caps too.

Sorry to tell you this but unfortunately we lost Mike, a valuable asset to our hobby (although I personally have never have gotten plating before) and seemingly a friend to many, in that accident. Very sad to have anybody pass away, especially a Pinsider.

Damn that sucks. I only corresponded with him via email but he seemed like a good man. I'll remember him whenever I look at the chromed caps on my Palooka that he did for me.
