Hi, I'd like to make my own LED-strip with chase lights whenever I shoot the ball on my Twilight Zone. I know there are mods on the market, but they cost 150 dollars or more, which is crazy money to me. Did anybody try to make something like that using the open source WLED? I wonder if I can program a sequence through the app on my phone and then connect the LED strip (and microcontroller) to a flasher that goes off whenever the ball shoots?

I was thinking about this recently.
I have ws2812b strips in an aluminum track with a defuser under my cabinets and behind the backbox. I have four pins connected to a quinled quad running wled. Each pin is a different segment with specific colors for each machine.
I'd like to tie into a flasher or maybe the action button as a gpio input to trigger effects, either on that specific machine or maybe across all of them. Lots of possibilities!

I think you are on to something awesome here. I have a bunch of experience with WLED and know how great it and its effects are. I am going to try and DIY a Speaker LEDs with WLED.

Pinduino is what you're looking for. Everything is open source and the creator sells kits at a very reasonable price.
