There's no place like code (updates).

    Thanks Alex!

    #7 10 years ago

Sweet something to do while watching the apple keynote from this morning.

    #8 10 years ago

Can't wait to get mine as this is looking great. The updates seem to come out regularly, often and are robust. Thanks JJP!

    * Disable top slingshot during TNPLH.

And thank you Kieth. Such a little annoyance to have the ball popping back and forth through the lanes for nothing.

    #11 10 years ago

Check your internet connection. Working perfectly for me. I see 31 people downloading now.

    #12 10 years ago

    Make that 32 people. :-0

    #13 10 years ago

Thank you for staying late and getting the update done

I did most of it from 37,000 feet. I was in the air for 5 hours today on my way to AZ. When I landed I uploaded and did the release. That's why it's so late (nearly 10pm EST).

    #15 10 years ago

Nice substantial update, keep 'em coming. Gonna be epic when complete. Thanks Alex.

    #16 10 years ago

Guys I heard an early report of the game possibly getting caught in a boot loop. If that does happen, reinstall 1.18 and then apply the 1.22 on top of it. I'm working on a fix now. It's not going to happen in every instance. It's due to some USB sticks being slower than others in reads. I am going to do a full release for 1.22 so that will be an available option.

    #17 10 years ago

Mine is updated. Just gonna go play some now.

    #18 10 years ago

so on an iMac when saved it just shows WizardofOZ, no 1.22 but it was definitely downloading 1.22. What part of the file needs to be taken to the USB drive?

Anyway to make this clearer for Mac users in the future would be appreciated. If you need me to I can take a screen shot of what I am seeing. Similar thing happened when uploading 1.21

    #19 10 years ago

Wow! What an update! Tons of new stuff and 5 new modes! The JJP crew has been doing a ton of work and are just cranking out the code updates big time.

I remember .91 coming out at the Michigan Pinball Expo and that was at the beginning of April. Since 1.0 in the change log there has been over 20 updates. Incredible.

    http://support.jerseyjackpinball.com/downloads/woz/changelog.txt

Based on the rule screens below the game now has probably close to 75% of the modes displayed I would guess.

The modes remaining to be put in the game (not including surprises) include "Battle The Wicked Witch", "Haunted Multiball", and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Seems like each update has been filling in the pieces to build up to the implementation of the games two wizard modes. Very cool. Still not sure if "Travel The Yellow Brick Road" is referring to advancing 25 times or if it will be its own separate mode.

    #20 10 years ago

Alex ... can you give a quick assessment of where we are (ROUGHLY) in the the envisioned complete code development. I just recently got my game and I'm curious how many more modes (if any) will still be added ... how many other game features (multiplier type stuff) .. and how many other core game features are yet to be added. I'm sure you've been asked this on previous releases but can you give a guess on where we are at (% wise) on each of these? And can you possibly even offer a teaser that something "big" (not previously mentioned) might still be coming?? Just a teaser?

Thanks again for all your hard work ...

You are missing a few directories. Reextract the zip file you should end up with this:

    woz_update

And inside it should be scripts and WizardOfOz

Make sure you extract the file to your mac then copy what it extracted to the USB stick. The mac will create a directory called WizardOfOz_Delta_1.22 likely in your downloads directory. Go into that folder and then you will see woz_update. Just copy that to the usb stick

    #23 10 years ago

Update went smoothly. Noticed some nice minor changes right away giving it an even more polished look/feel. Got weak flippers crystal ball mode on my first ball. Not much of a chance of making the ramp while that mode is active. Fun stuff. Off to go play more...

    #24 10 years ago

    Videos pleaseeeeee

    #25 10 years ago

Update went fine used a newer USB 3.0 Thumb Drive

    #26 10 years ago

"Reversed" flippers and "no hold" flippers sound FUN ... I can't wait to get those modes! I'm not sure how fun "weak flippers" will be, lol. Nobody likes a weak flipper. Especially my wife, lol.

Yeah it's when someone uses an very old usb stick. I'm going to do a full to help those folks out. But hey a new one is only 10 bucks

Playing the update now, what a huge update this game is becoming spectacular. The new light show is beyond impressive. Really like the good witch rewards.

    #33 10 years ago

Just riped off about 6 games. Alex this is a great update. Weak flippers with stacked multiball was awesome fun and really hard. The munchkinland colors and music/voice is much better (did not get the multiball yet). The reverse flippers really messes with your head lol. Nice lighting changes for multiballs and other little tid bits I noticed! Really good job its a great update Alex thank you!!

    #34 10 years ago

Started downloading immediately after it was available and still don't have it. Why am I downloading at such a slower rate? Hmmm.. nonetheless, update looks like its going to be really fun to play. Thanks!

Thank Keith and Ted. They are the wizards behind it I handle the update delivery and release.

And yes reverse flippers are going to be the bane of many folks existence.

The light show is noticeably different?? My wife always comments on the lights .. she'll love it.

    #39 10 years ago

Im playing but, since I suck at this game still I haven't seen it all yet. So far the little touches I am noticing are awesome and the light show is amazing especially during twister. The inserts match the lcd and kinda do this wave thing with the house spinning. VERY cool!

    #41 10 years ago

Only an hour left to download

    #42 10 years ago

I can't say for sure this is the result of the update but I might have a problem. The first six unnumbered lights on the yellow brick road are different colors and flash oddly. I rebooted the game and I get the same thing. Even in attract mode as it switches colors, the first six unnumbered lights are different from all the rest of the playfield lights.

Example: When all the playfield lights are blue, the first six unnumbered lights on the yellow brick road are cyan(ish). They are different for all the colors except red. Odd.....any ideas?

Other than that, the new code plays really well.

I've ALWAYS noticed this same thing since day one. They are just a slightly different shade of color (which is more noticeable with certain colors.) But I've noticed the same thing on every WOZ I've seen (video or in person.) I'm not sure why it is. maybe someone knows why? Alex?

Note: I can't say mine "flash oddly" though ... only that they are a slightly different shade of color.

    #44 10 years ago

Still not see 1.22. If I drag my WOZupdate to my screen it creates a woz_update folder. If I click on that folder I get two folders, one says scripts and the other says WizardofOz. Clicking on WizardofOZ I get a folder that says data and a grey box that says game.

Can a Mac user chime in and explain wtf I'm suppose to do with this thing. Thanks.

Sounds like you may have lost a led GI board. Are some of the led's not working? If so you will need to get the led cable diagram from the manual...print it out and follow the arrows on that diagram to where the most likely GI light is out (if its that). Check board #15,17 and 18. Don't ask how I know this by heart lol.

You aren't supposed to click on woz_update Just drag that folder to the usb stick

I'm using a Mac just put the WOZ_update folder on the root of the flash drive. Turn on the pin then plug the USB fob in and update from the menu. It just takes a min to update.

    #49 10 years ago

Fantastic update! Just played a handful of games and all the new bells and whistles are really great.

    #50 10 years ago

thanks for the clarification. on 1.21 there was a need to only install one file. wasn't sure if that was the case this time.
