I wonder how I can make this work w/ the wooden apron?

Quoted from Hitch9:Not sure that is going to work on an LE. The clearance is right around 7mm.
I bet I can make it work...just not sure how it would look when finished.
I'd remove my wooden apron, reverse-engineer it, machine a prototype (or 2, if needed), then I'd machine a stepped-thru pocket from the underside of the apron, then mount the screen under the apron.
I'm sure this approach would require me to modify the apron that lies under the wooden apron cover. It all depens on the total thickness of the LCD screen.
I've thought about making a new wooden apron for my WOZ anyway. I was thinking of making a slightly nicer one out of solid oak.
Quoted from PinChili:Just another suggestion, but I had JJP make me a custom metal apron for my ECLE WOZ under the wooden one (I didn't like the fact the metal apron had no art on the LE.) This apron specifically denotes this game as an "Emerald City Limited Edition". You might be able to do the same if you want to do this mod right (and then store the wood apron in the cab or display it on a wall).
Great ides pinChili.
How much did that cost?
Quoted from Chosen_S:That looks high on the price, Amazon has a few for alot less, wander if the quality is different?
I was wondering that myself.
Seems like there are a lot cheaper options available on Amazon.
Quoted from Curbfeeler:Did the bally Williams tutorial ever develop in its own thread? If so never saw.
I haven't seen it either.
My guess, it's hasn't happened yet.
