Well at the start of a new ball it is going to display skill waiting for you to hit the skill target amongst the trees. That said, if it never displays anything other than that, try re-seating the card in the upside down pocket on the back of the monitor board. Works like a digital camera - push card into pocket to unlock it, then push it in again to click it back into place.
