We recently moved and my WOZ has an issue now after the move. When the Monkey comes down to pick up the ball, it picks it up and goes up the rail, drops the ball behind the gate, but the gate does not open to release the ball into the upper playfield. Does anyone have a solution to fix this. I live in the Cape Coral , Florida area. Thanks, Tom

Umm, the ball is supposed to stay locked there until you start multiball. Do you mean it doesn't come out when the game is over? Check/run device test for the castle door lock.

It doesnt do it at all? Like at the end of a game, it doesnt release the ball behind the door?

Not sure what's going on here, but a common issue is the set screw holding the door to the post gets loose and the door won't open.

If by chance you have put in one of these castle wall mods it might have dropped down slightly during the move blocking the top of the door. That is what happened to me.

The Monkey drops the ball behind the gate after it reaches the top. When I start multiball it does not release it and it does not release it after the game is over. Then when you try to start a new game, it is looking for that ball and you have to slide the play field glass back and open the door to let it out to start a new game.

I would go through all the tests and check everything works as it should (switches, solenoids, etc.). I installed Modfathers walls and had some initial binding issues.

Isn't there a command in the diagnostics that allows you to open the door? As someone else has mentioned, the door is secured with set screws and it may be simply out of adjustment or the screw is loose to the door shaft.

After farther review, I noticed the double castle doors don"t open either. I ran the test for those doors and they would not open. I could not find how to run the test for the door in front of the Monkey. I checked for a loose setscrew on the door and that was not the problem. I did not install a wall mods. Any other suggestions.

Check the connections to those motors. Should be a quick disconnect under the playfield. Sounds like the power to them isn't getting there. Also check the I/O board in the chassis to make sure all the connections are on tight. Something wiggled loose in the move.
