I've been thinking about this one, with all the great new titles coming out, does this drive up, lower, or stabilize the current pinball market?
Why do I ask? I've been wanting a SM for a while, and would have bought one at the recent prices, but after seeing XM-LE and AC/DC, combined with WOZ and Predator coming out, I've passed on a few SM's to save for a newer title that I've never owned before. Add that Avengers may be in the future, and there appears to be a lot of appealing titles hitting this year alone! I would have jumped on a SM in a flash for the last year or so.. not so anymore.
Now with all of these new machines are being released, people are going to sell their older games to freshen up their collection with the new ones.. people also want the newer games, for the most part. For me, some of the older titles have that "been there, done that, what's next" feel to them. So the supply of older games should go up.. a little.
To me, the new games have a ton of appeal, and are new and fresh! I'm sure a lot of you guys feel the same way.
And this is not meant to bash SM, I think it's a great game (one of Stern's best) I just used that as an example. Lots of titles have popped up recently that fit the same bill as SM IMO.
