I'm trying to figure out how to do a little project on my no good Gofers machine. I have a green LED strip for the putting green area and I want it to be interactive with two of the controlled lights the putt now and the extra ball. I can modify the wedge base sockets to add wires off of them but I can't figure out how to keep the bulbs operating independently while operating the LED strip. In other words when the extra ball comes on it would flash the LED strip but when the putt now light would come on it would also activate the LED strip. If I hook all the positives together it i think it will light borh the putt niw ans the extra ball simultaneously so I'm trying to figure out how to do this and maintain the independence of the two controlled lamps

So connecting the positives in a chain with a diode between each socket might be the answer. Anyone refresh me on the flow of current through the diode in other words which way does the current flow_ towards the banded end or the opposite way
