Hi I have to replace my control board and the wiring to those connectors has been soldered to the board. I just need to check that the hack job placed the wires correctly for replacement plugs. Thanks

***BUMP***

Please elaborate though on what type of information or assistance you need? I could not tell from your initial post

The connector plugs have been cut off. I am looking for the wiring diagram that shows the locations of each wire on the 19 pin A1-J6 and the 10 pin A1-J5. Just want to make sure of the wire locations before I put in the new connector plugs. Thanks

In that case, any System 80 wiring diagram of A1J6 will work. They all use the same assigned colors and locations. Did you try PinWiki for the wire colors?

Hi PinWiki shows a color chart but not the wire locations. The diagram of the control board only shows the plugs but not the wires. Still tring to find them. Thanks

Sorry haven't been in to check. The wires for the A1-J5 are correct on my machine but on the A1-J6 there are no wires for pins 6-8, pin 9 is white and no wire for pin 17. Whats your thoughts on that? Thanks so much blownfuse.

#8 11 years ago

Hi, I can't comment on your specific application regarding the missing wires. However, pin 9 being white can be correct for ground. Pretty easy to verify that the white wire indeed goes to ground.
Gottlieb used white color for ground wire in a number of machine applications.

Quoted from Crazyjc:

A1-J6 there are no wires for pins 6-8,

The game may not use strobes 5 , 6 and 7 and return 7. So no wires in the harness. Seen this before with sys 80 and sys1

Exactly, I just listed the general wire colors used in those connectors. On specific games, they sometimes aren't there because they aren't used. You're welcome Crazyjc.
