    #7 12 years ago

    Lol it ain't that bad

    #8 12 years ago

I am not a fan of wierd stuff and horror movies but Gorgar is pretty cool.

    #9 12 years ago

Thanks for posting the pics and info - very interesting. I remember playing Gorgar back in the day. $375 for a working Gorgar in decent shape seems like a pretty good price to me. Of course, I've been known to overpay for my pins.

    #10 12 years ago

Yeah I agree SunKing - Gorgar was a steal I was thinking of selling mine for a grand

    #11 12 years ago

I see they had a bunch of those Megatouch type games. Any good deals to be had on those? I've been thinking about adding one to my gameroom, but brand new ones are shockingly expensive.

    #12 12 years ago

My girlfriend and i went to technos place last night and played the GORGAR. I thought it was cool and i loved the playfield and plastic art. If i remember correctly gorgar was the first talking pin.

If the Hook was o.k., I would have jumped at 800 bones. Not that I like Data East games or anything.

    #15 12 years ago

I picked up the Hook.I loved the artwork and it seemed to play ok,have not gone through it yet.

    #16 12 years ago

Those prices don't seem too bad, at least not for around here. Are those dudes to play strip poker with?

    http://s1.zetaboards.com/Affordable_Pinballs/topic/4506988/1/#new

    #21 12 years ago

I have some of the best pins ever made, but when I have people over to play they look around and say"do you have a Eight Ball Deluxe".Pin looks good from the pics, what is your opinion and what you looking to get?

    #22 12 years ago

Damnit BR - when the hell are you going to move to Oregon so pinheads up here can enjoy your garage and some reasonably priced pins!

    #23 12 years ago

I can only imagine what it is like having video game and pin auctions within driving distance... Oh well, I imagine there are more pins here than in Alaska (where you have to fight the bears along with Sealclubber and Absocountry2 to get them)!

    #24 12 years ago

Someone make me an offer I can't refuse.. How about $ 11 or $ 1200.00

    #25 12 years ago

Ah i would have scooped that Hook for 800 in a hearbeat..

    #26 12 years ago

nice can one just usually attend these auctions? i am assuming they are labeled amusement auctions or something like that?

what are the terms of sale usually? cash or credit card?

    #27 12 years ago

Anyone can attend....There are two classifications....Buyer and Seller. Buyer's get screwed...10% buyer fee + 7% sales tax + 3% if you pay with a CC. Bring a cheap neon beer sign and register as a seller and you can still buy but avoid the 10% buyer fee. Find a retailer who has a Tax ID and avoid the 7% too. That's roughly it....The % may have changed a bit since I was there two years ago, but should still be pretty close.

Now for the inside scoop....Watch for seller shill bids. When a seller sells his pin he has to pay 10% upto $100 max. BUT, if he doesn't sell his pin, he only pays $10 and takes it back home. So alot of sellers bid on their own pins until they get it to a price they want...It's called a buy back and I'd say 75% or better of the pins usually end up that way. That's good and bad...Bad because you need to know the sellers and recognize buybacks. Good, because alot of times you can approach these sellers in the parking lot after the auction and strike a deal. They don't really want to load them back up again if they can help it.

    #28 12 years ago

The Shadow was just $875? Must have been rough?

    #29 12 years ago

My wife bid for me at an auction and scored my first game. Knowing what I know now, I would approach an auction much different. Live and learn, BTW 875.00 for a shadow? I'm there!

    #30 12 years ago

875 is hammer price. Add 17% to that if paying cash, 20% if CC

    #31 12 years ago

I bet there are plenty of pinball machines in Alaska with all that oil money floating around. Try looking for pinballs in South Dakota. All those pheasants don't put any money in my pocket. Just do damage to my car.

Finding reasonably priced pins here is difficult, especially with all the competition, but you got think pinduck, that we have more machines on location here than probably anywhere in the world nowadays. So really, we are the lucky ones. We live in pinball eden!

The most busted up one I've heard for sale was $2200
for a really operated one and the guy wouldn't only sell to another operator.
