If you are in the business there is no buyer's premium. Otherwise, 10% for cash, 13% for credit. Plus sales tax if not exempt. And a $10 per item charge.

Enjoyed catching up with everyone

You're welcome Mark

A couple more auctions like this and we'll soon see the last at Winston Salem. Heck of a lot of buybacks.

#14 6 years ago

They should make the buyback fee sting a little bit.

#15 6 years ago

Nice to see friends, but the pickins were awfully slim--and not just the pins. I have to think that the bad weather earlier this week (and this morning to the west and north) had something, perhaps a lot, to do with it.

#16 6 years ago

Weather had to kill it. Going against my better judgement and driving 9 hours to the one in Sevierville next month.

The entire auction was over and done by about 1PM. That about sums up the pickins today. Normally they wouldn't finish the pins until 3 or 4.

You are correct, weather stopped a few from coming including myself.

New location next month for the TN auction, just outside of Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge. Lots of cabin owners will be looking for equipment so please bring some as I bet it brings top dollar for classic video games.

The buyback fee is low to encourgage people to bring equipment as without any games and pins the auction will be no more, or I would hate for it to move back to Statesville.

I think so but it was a very windy cold and slushy parking lot. We managed to swap 7 pins between 4 vehicles in about 35 minutes.

#20 6 years ago

The December one seems to have been a real blowout. Wish we could have been there, it would have been nice, maybe sometime soon after basketball season.

Hope to see many of you next week at Craig's!

#21 6 years ago

Weather IMHO. Pure & simple.
The last auction was incredible regarding turnout.

Exactly BR. He wanted max price with no goodies. Well he took it back home.

At 9k I can not wait to bring some new in box MMR standard pins to sell at auction. I can have one out for people to play and sell the other one new in box. He should have sold it as it would only have been 100 dollar in commission to sell and no paypal or credit card fees.

Missed seeing everyone, but looks slim anyway.

#32 6 years ago

Best deals were in the parking lot!!

#33 6 years ago

I was planning on going, but my reason for heading north got postponed for a week. Black pyramid for $200 sounds like a nice catch, maybe i'm a sucker for inline drops.
