All this talk of drive-ins made me just look up our more local drive-in down in Maryville. Their website said they are closed for the season due to lack of availability of movies on film. You know, I've thought for years about taking my kids down there and never did. Kind of sad, really to see this piece of Americana really struggling.

Buddy, I hope you can raise the cash to stay in business.

Let me be the first to go on record to say that if for some reason this fundraiser is stopped and Buddy offers me my money back, I will not accept it. In my mind, this is a donation to help someone I respect and who is in a bind.

I guess the devil is in the details sometimes and semantics can get the best of us.

Perhaps we simply need to change this to a simple donation with Buddy's hope (not promise) to randomly give away a standard WOZ. I wonder if that would help the lawyer-types out there.

Here is another idea.

There was a fellow pinsider over a month ago who is in dire financial trouble and needed to raise some cash. He was selling a bunch of stuff and I went ahead and purchased a couple of pins from him. (WOZLE and TZ). I was not really planning on buying those but I'm a sucker and I used his issues to help me justify spending money I didn't really need to spend.

At the end of the day, I got a bought a couple of nice pins and helped someone out in the process.

Buddy, do you have a list of other pins which you have and may be willing to sell? Someone may be looking for something you have. Just a thought.
