argh! so close but saturday is always my double at work! Well at least I can roll up to South a Philly to play some Avengers and Metallica prior , is Metallica there now?? Maybe take the chitlin up to fort Sunday and play some pinball!
What other games will be at South-A-Philly? Might be worth me heading over one day just to play some pins.

Palm coast is so close, maybe you can swap with someone @work? no worries
Seems this should be posted on the 2 Florida forums-Village and Florida Pinball Forum . That is where the primary player base is for this event.

I already posted on both FL sites. You of course can start your own thread with more details

There will be..
A fast paced double elimination serious high stakes tournament with a goal of being as fair as possible
1 stoked individual that will be going home with a Metallica Pro
Trophies and cash runner up prizes
Tons of Food to eat and drink
Cornhole (open to a small cornhole competition)
Small raffle included with entry fee
Metallica CDs for all participants (think napster haha j/k)
Fun
Good people
I wanted to do this when I realized I was surrounded by many good pinball players in my area who I have a lot of respect for. I've only been in the hobby going on 4+ years but I have seen the Sport grow in that short amount of time. Not everybody can just go plunk down thousands of dollars for a brand new machine. This gives an opportunity to become a pinball owner in a fun way. Yes I put up the initial money to get the machine and will recoup if our goal of 60 participants is reached, money left over will go strait to the good time on 6/15/2013 as I'll need it to cater the event, buy trophies, cash prizes, etc. In other words, I'm not looking to profit from this at all. I'm really just riding the lightning from all this Metallica hype and can't wait to play this thing!!!!
very cool of you man ! We certainly appreciate it , and thanks for providing the locals a place to enjoy pinball!
Top 4 from location play will just get a discount of 35$ on their entry fee
No longer a first round bye
Byes and matchups will now be 100% random draw
Could just have 64 players and do away with having to deal with byes at all and people griping over non-earned byes etc.
And easier math
Not that much time difference between 60 and 64
Just a suggestion.
Original idea was 50@100$ ea
But that bracket was aweful
I liked the bracket for 60 a lot more with just the 4 spots for byes
Of course 64 comes in as the obvious choice, just didnt think i could get that many
I know i'm pushing it at 60 but, i really want to do this..the game ships on monday so..
I'm gonna move forward with everything..
If someway we can get 64, i'm all for it @ 80$ per entry
Anyway way i can make this thing easier to swallow, i'll adjust to it
Thanks for the help
So far I have 10 confirmed
Paypal [email protected] as a gift (fees)to lock yourself in..85$ now and if we get 64 i'll refund the difference
