Quoted from arcadem:

I thought the CE POTC came with a printed manual but none for LE and SE games. I had to buy a manual for my POTC LE. My THBA and WOZRR both came with printed manuals.

That's correct.

Quoted from bigd1979:

I believe there is a diverter back there to put the ball in different places

There isnt. I asked Keith. It just depends how hard you shoot it as to where the middle shot goes.

Quoted from Kneissl:

Did I miss this.. Why is the artwork cut out around these lights?

Quoted from Neal_W:

Those little inserts glow nicely without the key lines and match the candy art there.
[quoted image]

Quoted from mnpinball:

Those are multicolored RGB lights to resemble sparkling during certain modes

They are lights and magnets under there. The sheet says 7 magnets. 3 under each set and 1 above the upper left flipper. Pat lawlor told me that it will do really cool patterns during multiball and other situations.

Quoted from Willy39:

What’s the song list? Is Candy Man in the game?

Pure imagination - final wizard mode and a few other spots
Oompa loompa- pops, and a captive ball "?" Mode and maybe somewhere else, not sure.
I want it now - golden egg room
I got a golden ticket -main theme throughout

M&M's/Mars wanted a a ridiculous amount of money for Candy Man, to which they own the rights.

Quoted from Amused_to_Death:

Too bad, if true.
Zynga has a new game out for iOS/Android, Wonka’s World of Candy, that uses a mixture of Candy Man and Pure Imagination as its main themes, and it comes off much more upbeat sounding than JJP’s (I’ve Got a) Golden Ticket.
Zynga’s game has a lot of nice audio clips that are, so far, missing in JJP’s game as well. Even short little phrases, like Grandpa Joe saying “It’s a miracle!” could really add a lot to the pinball game.

With Pure Imagination being the one song everyone remembers most besides Candy Man, I cant say that saving it for a Wizard mode that 90% of players won’t ever see/hear is a very good idea.
Don’t get roped into playing too many rounds, lol, but check out Zynga’s game for some nice music and voice integration.

That’s why it’s in multiple spots, not just the wizard mode.

Quoted from Amused_to_Death:

Any idea what these multiple spots are? I watched all eleventy-seven hours of the reveal on Twitch and never once heard Pure Imagination.
It was more than a bit strange, too, to SEE Veruca singing I Want It Now but HEARING absolutely none of it. I’m not sure what the point of using silent film clips is supposed to be.
I could have swore Wonka is a musical!

I don’t. I don’t think it’s all in the game yet. You can hear it playing with no words, just like all the other songs. I made the same point to Joe Katz (about never hearing the best song) and he said they will have it in a couple places, not just the final wizard mode.

Quoted from TonyScoots:

The house/factory was different on some models, all the SE had a candy store and the one or two LE had it also but most of the LE and all of the CE had the Wonka Factory
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

The production version for all 3 models will not be the gumdrops. It's the entrance to the factory where we see Willy Wonka for the first time in the movie.

It's hiding the diverter that drops the ball to the magnet above the upper left flipper (for when you need to hit that shot). I love that they engineered it so you can hit the shot you need to.

I do wish they had something better there, Like a Wonkatania sculpt and that side of the left ramp was the chocolate river. That is probably my only critical feedback on the looks of the game. It just doesn't fit the quality of everything else on there. If you want it to be the factory entrance, make it a sculpt like dorothy's house in woz. Cool diverter, though.

Quoted from SheriffBarclay:

Let's move on from powder coat costseg analysis and start exhaustively nitpicking/beat to death something else about the game. We've had a little talk about the 7 magnets, but not a lot.
Has anyone seen/heard much about the other 6 magnets? The working theory is that they are around the small candy/LED inserts and 'subtly influence' the ball path. I've skipped around the Buffalo gameplay stream and can't really see any evidence of this. As somebody mentioned, good chance it hasn't been coded yet.
Let's move on to magnetgate.

1 magnet is above the upper left flipper to catch the ball.

the other 6 are split 3 and 3 underneath the 2 small lights sections of the playfield.

Quoted from Amused_to_Death:

I guess they like Zynga more than Jersey Jack Pinball. You’ll find Candy Man as one of the main themes in Zynga’s new Wonka’s World of Candy game for iOS and Android.

Eric said they wouldn’t license the song. That is not accurate.

Keith Johnson told me, “they wanted a shit-ton of money.”

So Candy Man could have been in the game, but it was cost prohibitive.
