I was literally about to order an LE a few hours before the reveal, but LUCKILY the dealer didn’t answer his phone.
Maybe once I play one i’ll Feel differently, but for now it’s a total “PASS.” (And at most would consider a standard).
What’s with all the fake dirt, scratches and hair on the clips from the film? Looks like the default setting on the video editing filter they used?
Quoted from PinBackpacker:I played 7-8 games on it tonight. Wait to shoot it before forming an opinion. I thought it had great flow, satisfying shots, and cool toys.
Damn, after watching the reveal, I thought I suddenly had an extra ten grand to spend on hookers and blow. Now what am I supposed to do with my Friday evening?
I don’t think a discount is illegal in any way. Audio reviewers are customarily offered to purchase gear they’ve been sent at wholesale pricing. They usually mention if they bought the gear but with so many components (and in this case pinball machines) on the market, the reviewers have choice among all the gear and wouldn’t choose to own something they didn’t like - even with a huge discount.
I’m not defending Kaneda’s review in any way but getting 500$ dollars or so but I wouldn’t imagine someone buying a crappy machine because they saved a few dollars.
Quoted from Bowlingpin:The skill shot could have implemented the good/bad egg idea. Basically with adding a door-latch,(somewhere along the shooter lane) and if short plunged you’d put ball in danger(think TAF swamp or rocket in TZ)
I like this idea. A great skill shot is one of my favorites. I was over expecting something innovative, (coming of the wow of POTC) but will reserve judgment till I get to play it. The SE pricing allows $ for mods to make it more special, and I hope there will be amazing mods available (art and mirrored Backglass),
Quoted from Crile1:It is beautiful, shoots like butter, sounds great, and represents the film well.... You guys are arguing about the middle part of the letter "H"? Grow up.
Great to hear someone else who played the game and liked it. I think the graphic treatment Aurich pointed out speaks to the effort and expertise put into that department, and allows manufacturers the opportunity to either fix it or request better assets for their next releases.
Personally I'm trying to decide between Wonka (not having played it) and POTC, which I have many times and really enjoy.
