Quoted from herbertbsharp:It certainly looks like a JJP Wonka game, it looks great, especially @ $7500, but no mind blowing surprises.
Is that for standard?

Quoted from usandthem:So, when Kaneda spouted off about it not being like anything you've ever seen before and blowing everything away for essentially all of eternity, what exactly did he mean by that?
It has to be in the geometry or overall theme integration, I guess. It's not really that different from WOZ, DI or POTC in terms of the level of mechanics. Not that that's a bad thing, but yeah, nothing really surprising.
Looking forward to trying it out!
Is it just me, or does the playfield have some resemblence to good old Judge Dredd? Shots positioning, loops etc.
Looks interesting, but I can't tell if it's something for me based off the video..
Quoted from alexmogil:This has not been a smooth reveal. Oompa Loompa down, ball search on first launched ball.
It's a metal ball in a wooden box fulled with solenoids going off etc. It all comes down to luck sometimes...
Welp. Looks like you'd expect a Wonka pin to look like if you've already seen the Blu-ray cover or the slot machine. Lots of inserts, lots of flippers, sure it's fun, JJP makes complete games. But already lost interest, I don't see any amazing toys, art is lunchbox regurgitated, sound is whatever.
Everything I said about licenses definitely applies here. I'm sure people will have fun with it. But I'm definitely bored already. Hype was overinflated, surprise.

Me too, for sure. But in the end, it's just another pinball machine. Don't really know why anyone (myself included) would think differently, well except that it's been hyped beyond anything I've ever seen. So as far as the hype:delivery ratio is concerned, meh.
Quoted from PinPatch:Le has additional ball lock over the standard
So they've gone Pro then? Actual missing features. Hmph.
Standard no wonka physical lock (wonkanator?) like LE and CE. Rules no change meaning virtual lock I think.
As a big pinball noob, its me or JJP look way good looking and less cheap than Stern? Its almost like B/W vs Data East/Sega

Hope springs eternal. It's part of the fun in this hobby.

This is the same broken record we hear from you on every reveal.

Yikes. Truth. Unfortunate truth. Playfield layout looks boring. Art looks very clipart-y. Lots of open space in the art. Hope it shoots well. Wonder what pricing will be on the Standard since Pat says they're "working hard" to make the low model attractive for routes. $8000 is not it.

Suck a dick!!!

I suppose so, which is why The Beatles was such a crusher for me. Worst game in 20 years, make that 40 when you take how badly they squandered the greatest theme ever so badly.
Quoted from teekee:Easy decision... BLACK KNIGHT!
Never make me agree with you... on anything! Haha.
