Both are great games, hobbit is more immersive and has a better sound package/theme integration.

The problem with wonka is when you walk up to it, it’s very tough to figure out what to do. with the hobbit, you shoot the right ramp to start a mode and then hit anything lit orange. Very easy for a beginner to understand and build on. You also have four arkenstones on the monitor to progress toward and get to into the fire. That clarity I never felt existed on wonka.

Wonka also doesn’t draw you in like the hobbit does and that may reflect the lack of assets and integration of the theme. I’m not saying wonka is bad, far from it, but the hobbit is truly a masterpiece. It’s kind of ironic, because when the hobbit first came out, it was a jumbled mess, everything running into each other, beasts popping up and getting in the way, tough to figure out what to do. With code progression, it’s now much less chaotic, which is how wonka feels sometimes.
