Pretty simple pick your poison and hopefully a reason why.
I keep going back and forth on which one I want, I want to pair it with the new GNR JJP hopefully; time will tell.
Elvira. Having owned both Elvira has massive staying power in a lineup that is shuffled a lot. It is a great game all around. Great code, great use of assets, humor, etc. Its approachable yet hard to master. I love it.
That said I did like Wonka quite a bit. Probably the most fun JJP I've played to date (out of PoTC, WoZ, Hobbit, - haven't played DI).

I've played a standard Willy Wonka a lot and I just love all the fun shots. My only thought on why I would like it better because sometimes Elvira's shots don't look as fun or satisfying I haven't played it though. Still haven't seen one around where I live.
Both are great. I like wonka more. Wonka will provide more depth long term. Elvira was fun and has a classic 80’s cheese to it, but theme preference goes to wonka imo. Play both if possible.
I've only played EHOH a couple times, but I would pick Wonka due to the deep code (almost to deep), and theme....u really can't go wrong with either game

From what I have been reading EHoH is just as deep, maybe even deeper in terms of things you can do. When I look at the rules flyer for Wonka it actually looks like less things to do.
Travel to a location that has both, play them both a lot then YOU will know. Those are both top $ machines. Choose wisely.
Before I moved, had both in my basement for 2 weeks. Elvira wins hands down for me. I don’t like Wonka at all. I played 10 games of Elvira foe every 1 on Wonka.
I love them equally, play Wonka a bit more. My wife loves EHOH and won't touch Wonka because of the "low scoring," smh

Well if GNR JJP totally misses the mark I plan on both, haha.

I'd be surprised if its deeper, but I haven't played EHOH enough to know for sure. Wonka is a really deep game (like most JJP games), and very challenging if your trying to get to the final wizard mode....that being said Lyman is one of the best....I'd pick the first nice HUO one that comes up in your area and call it good. You really can't go wrong either way. Let the market make the decision for u as every one here has their own personal preference

Yeah for sure I just can't decide and I only have room for 2 machines unless I get a new couch as I would love all 3... Willy Wonka LEs are still being made so if I can find a EHoH I think that is the better choice for now.
Lucky you to have these options. I don't, my wife vetoed Elvira, she doesn't want it in our household with the young grandkids. They are all under 10. (Too bad, I would have loved to see the expression of my 10 year old grandson and daughter going to the basement and seeing the back glass of Elvira). I have Wonka and really like it. It's fairly new maybe 2 months and I have between 300-400 plays. I admit I seem to prefer JJP games they get the most play.
I didn't vote, but good luck.
