OK I have done some searching and have not nailed down an answer. My Star Trek Next Gen has a very short and loud high pitch sound when I turn it on "cold". This is before the normal "dong" sound they normally make. If I turn it off and back on when it is warmed up it does not do it. Any idea if this is normal or what I should dig in to to correct it?
