Whirlwind
Williams, 1990Hello.
I own an old Whirlwind by Williams.
It worked well the whole time, but now when i boot the Game up, i get one beep and blinkjng lights. No music, no input, not being able to start a game.
Since I got the game, upper display is defect, maybe it would show some interesting Information?
Battery voltages are ok (1.52 Volts).
Any ideas?
One "bong" is normal, and it indicates that the sound board has booted properly. When you say you get "blinking lights," are you referring to the blinking lights on the MPU board, or on the playfield?
The upper display would only really tell you if there's an "adjust failure" (bad battery holder, batteries, or RAM) upon boot.
