I want to try my first repaint on this Upper Deck that I just bought. Not surprisingly it tested positive for lead paint. The swab is more orange but the paper comes up red so I guess that means positive. Now what? I can’t really sand it. Any lead paint chemical stripper recommendations?

You could just primer over it. I'd be inclined to leave it unmolested.

Or you could explore a product like https://www.leadoutpaintstripper.com/diy-paint-removal

Yeah I’m thinking about leaving it. When I first bought it I thought it’s got character. I’m not touching it. Then I saw some really nice repaints on here and I thought it’s worth a try. Thanks for the link. I’ll look into it.
