I was adjusting the right pop bumper stack under the play field with the power on. I touched the EOS switches and heard a hum and blew a fuse on the power aux board. I replaced fuse and this is what happens: This happens ONLY when I start a game NOT when just powered up. when I press the credit button the right pop bumper locks up.... I thought it might be a 1N4003 #19 diode on the power aux board but that did not cure it. If I unhook the ground thin wire on the right pop bumper everything works as it should. HELP!

Sell it to me, youve caused thousands of dollars in damage and the game is worthless.....

I kid...

Anyway, sounds like you may have blown a transistor, though I would have thought it would lock on at power up. My other guess is that you messed up the switch matrix. Nothing else is acting funky?

nope every thing works great. I ground transistor 73 and it pulls the pop bumper. I was not to think that it could be a pre driver?

We've been troubleshooting the same problem on a friends machine for a couple months and have yet to find a solution. Good luck, I'll keep an eye on this thread and post if we find a solution.

Quoted from smersh:

What is the "credit button"? If you put the game in switch edge test mode, what happens when you press the "credit button"?

the credit (start) button. I will do the switch edge and see.

Okay, wasn't sure if that's what you meant or one of the switches in the coin mechanics.

Does Taxi trigger the solenoids to reset the Marilyn and Pin-bot drops at the start of the game even if they are up? If so it could be related to that. It sounds like you must have introduced solenoid voltage into the switch matrix. You would think that if it was tied with the pressing of the start button it would fire and stop, not lock on.

Can you specify which one it was? I know we replaced one, but it may have been a different one.
