This is hardly "flawless." Major discoloration outside mylared areas. A nice survivor, yes; not flawless.

I went to see the game yesterday, and I would agree. I believe the seller is not really in tune with value of games. And I was trying to explain it the best I could. But I believe when he got it he over paid and now it just trying to get out at what he paid. Unfortunately he didnt do his homework at the time of purchase. I made an offer of over market value and didn't even feel comfortable at it, I only did it because it was so close to home. Seller seems like a good dude bad just doesnt understand pricing

4750 and it’s not even a Marilyn he got burned and it’s sad, just as sad as how long this will be for sale. I’m guessing a very very long time.

Glws op unfortunately at that price, your gonna need it

Mine was in better condition and a Marilyn. Sold it for just under 2K a few years ago. I understand prices have gone up but the misrepresentation here is huge. This thing has gouges, scrapes and giant chunks out of the wood. A huge list of things I can see in the photos. Every time In have bought a machine I always see much more in person than the photos show. If I can see a lot of issues on the outside I would guarantee there's a lot of things to take care of under the hood. This is an average condition players machine, and anybody in the hobby can see it plainly.

And here I thought I overpaid by a lot for my Taxi 2 years ago at $2800. I hope this one sells for (anywhere close to) the asking amount, that would mean either pinball market inflation or that I got a better deal than I thought. Taxi is an amazing System 11 game - one of the very best from the late eighties IMHO and pinball prices have been kinda crazy recently. BUT almost $5k seems like a high asking price for this example as it is not "flawless for a 1988 machine" as the seller states. This is a players condition table, not a "flawless" machine. If this one is flawless, then all my pinballs are flawless

You could of bought mine for under $2K two years ago, so yes you did overpay, but by a lot? Maybe not, depends a lot on condition. I put a bit of work into mine especially under the hood. Others were asking about $2200-2500 for a machine in relative condition as mine back then - but they were not flying off the shelf either. Those were like putting lipstick on a pig. I don't understand why someone would pay a $1000 or more premium for $25 of rubber, $150 of LEDs and an evening of waxing. I wanted to move mine quick and give the buyer a good deal. Regardless, almost $5K either back then or now would need to be a pristine example, like factory fresh. Certainly not this machine.
