Space Shuttle
Williams, 1984At least, I think something is missing? Working on a Space Shuttle. Is something supposed to go in the empty holes next to the chip? There's the same empty space on the chip below it as well. Diode? Jumper? Tantalum cap? Nothing at all? Schematic isn't very clear. Thanks in advance!

Do I need to jumper it then, or should it be working as-is?
It is called a bypass capacitor, hence the B label on the silk screen.
The value varies but typically they are .01 µd.
They are between 5V and ground so you do not want to jumper across those holes.

5+ years in the hobby, reading schematics and rebuilding boards from the start, and I never could quite understand out WTF those little capacitors really, truly, actually were for. THANK YOU!
